Ocean State Job Lot — Local services in Falmouth

Such insane deals. I love Ocean State. they have literally EVERYTHING. Better deals than Walmart, eBay, Sam's club, Amazon. They have literally everything from shopvacs to brand name bed sheets to luxury 9x12 rugs for $150. Softest rugs I've ever felt. INSANE.

This location is super clean, well organized, and well stocked. There's always something new to look at and buy. I love the food section a lot, and the bedding section is humongous! Love all the beautiful, thick, high quality rugs for insanely low prices😭🥰 OSJL is my one stop shop for super well-priced items for the house/home/outdoors/kitchen/bedroom. They have the biggestt cookware and home supplies section bigger than Walmarts! (trash bags, air fresheners, ziploc, Tupperware, cooking pans, pots, utensils, kitchen appliances, santoku knives, peelers, ladles, tongs, etc. etc.) There's no other store quite like it. There's so many options for things, and there is a pretty regular section for cleaning items, hardware, cookware, dishware, bedding, sheets, pillows, bath, towels, literally...

Yikes! I went in this store to look at lawn furniture today. As I was trying to look at tables, this young man started cranking them up high on a lift…he then put the only assembled example of an armchair up on top. When an older man joined him, the younger guy asked him what to say if someone asked if the chair had a particular feature. The older guy said, “just tell them it does.” The younger guy said, “You mean lie?” And the older guy said, “Yes!” The younger guy then referred to how a third guy “lied like crazy” about kayaks this morning. They were all laughing. I told them that I was not feeling great about buying something there at this point, and the lying like crazy about kayaks guy said, “Ok.” Who has this conversation in front of customers?? It was crazy. People buy these items boxed, then have to assemble them at home, then have to drive all the way back to the store if they don’t work as described. I am sure that there are plenty of great things about this store, but these three dudes need some coaching about...

Normally I like the deals I can find in the store and that's why a friend and I go there pretty often. Although today the girl with the long brown hair yelling at her supervisor in the back room that clearly you could hear two is over and then throughout the store this girl and I'm calling her a girl because she acted like a child was carrying on so much that all I could think of is you know when I spoke to the manager last week to help me out with this online deal thing that I got was like why are you putting up with this jerk. I work in retail I get it we all have bad days but I'll tell you this if any employee spoke to me and the way that she was carrying on towards her supervisor and other employees today I would have fired her on the spot.
