Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with Fashion Gods. I brought in 3 big bags of almost 100 articles of clothing. All name brand, (gymshark, victoria’s secret, american eagle, hollister etc) lightly used and some even with tags still on them. I also brought in two gorgeous, expensive prom dresses that had been worn once. I dropped off my clothing and about 40 minutes later they were ready. I went to the counter and she brought out the bags of the clothes they were not going to take and handed me a slip that said 80 or so dollars. I was suprised when I had to ask her to bring out the bin from the back to see what they wanted to buy and the lady I was talking to seemed reluctant to let me see. I began to go through the bin of clothes and found my 2 prom dresses at the bottom, almost as if they were trying to be deceptive with what they were purchasing and not give me my moneys worth. Other places i’ve sold my clothes to are very open and forthcoming with what they buy and how much each piece of clothing is worth to them. I took the dresses back and she lowered the amount to $40, which made my dresses worth $20 each. I will forever regret selling my clothes to them because they sell ONE pair of gym shark leggings for $40 and in the bin they took there were at least 30 articles of clothing. I will not be selling to, buying, or supporting this business...
Read morePlease do your research and know the value of what you are trying to sell to them. Went in there today to try and sell a few of my Coach and Michael Kors purses that I just don't use that much anymore. One was only a few months old and the others maybe a year or two. Now I was not expecting retail value. ($1,300 - $ 1,500.00 new) I figured 40- 60% of the resale price. (I expected $500.-$600.00) As I know they have to make a profit, and I knew what the used ones were selling for. Well, they offered me $125.00 for all of them. I absolutely to told them no. So, when I get back to my car, I notice that they left price tags. What they intended to sell my bags for. Three of my bags they were selling more than what they offered me for all of them. In the end they were going to make a profit of about $450.00 after paying me the $125.00. All they had to do was put stickers on and put on floor. Now understand a profit but are you kidding me. These were not old, old bags either they...
Read moreI know one of the ladies who works here indirectly unfortunately. She in particular is know n to be rude/ aberrant/ odd. I imagine working there is like high school and these women talk about you after you leave or whisper quietly while you aren’t paying attention. Such disappointment with the female staff there these days. I miss when they had more then the one location. Now forced to go to this location and deal with the rude/incongruous staff. If one of them knows you even I indirectly they may deny taking any nice clothes you’ve brought to sell and overall they are picky in general. I highly recommend Platos Closet for selling your name brand lightly worn clothes over this place , you may have better luck there. Also at Platos Closet in South Portland the ladies are a lot more friendly. So sad I used to love this place. Now I think I’ll avoid it all together, or only go in when the nice gentleman is working or not the certain staff who may work...
