This is the second time my kids and I have attempted to enjoy the pool at this park. This is also the second time my sons have been told by the lifeguards on duty that they needed to take some kind of swim test in order to swim in the deep end of the pool. When I asked what the test was, the lifeguard I spoke with had no answer and proceeded to tell me that I needed to talk to someone else despite the fact that the lifeguards were the ones who were enforcing this obtuse rule. All this occurred while there were other adults and children already in the pool. My kids were not there during a swim meeting. We were there recreationally between 1:00 pm to 2:20 pm on a Wednesday. Two different lifeguards told me two different age restrictions concerning the deep end of the pool which tells me that the current lifeguards do not know the pool rules or regulations well and if you’re that unwilling to know what the rules are as a lifeguard then how can I or any parent for that matter trust you to do your job? I have spoken to park management once already and was told that there is no such swim test since it would be a huge inconvenience to pool patrons and yet I am being repeatedly told by Lake Rim lifeguards that my kids have to take this seemingly unknown swim test. It was a waste of money to try to enjoy this pool. My sons and I will not return to an establishment where the lifeguards are unreliable and...
Read moreWent fishing, nothing biting, LOTS of dead fish found on shore in one area! So beware, something is obviously wrong! The wood deck area was very nice. Had to go over and try to fish there, since the beach area had the dead fish everywhere and some dumb chick was playing music loudly and singing loudly. We were hoping we had finally found someplace to fish on this side of the state. But apparently not and the hunt continues. Is a very pretty and relaxing place, if you're not going there to fish. There IS trash piled up everywhere, because for some dumb reason, they don't have any garbage cans out or provided!?? Some kind of bathroom facilities would be nice too, at least port a potties! Why call it a park, when it doesn't even have garbage cans or bathrooms? So make sure you go, before you leave home! With a few improvements, this could easily be a five star park! Hope it gets the things it needs...
Read moreNot a bad water park for the kids. They love it and its super cheap to get in. We always get there at least 45 minutes before they open so that we can get in within 30 minutes of the gate opening. This place gets packed with people and the line to get in usually extends down the entire side walk to the next parking lot over within an hour of opening and people are still coming. We only stay maybe 2 hours and by then the line is still is stopped due to pool capacity and people are waiting for others to leave. I miss the split schedule they had in 2021 after opening up from Covid. There were less people and 2 sessions; pool was open for about 2 and a half hours for each. They closed for 30 mins and kicked everyone out, and then let the people waiting for the second...
