How do I Begin? Well I moved here from Alaska recently. We never had the opportunity to eat at Chick-Fil-A. I saw many advertisements on social media, coworkers, and friends on how great the customer service they were receiving along with how great the food was. With all the hype the company got I rushed to get me some for myself and my family.
It was around 930 pm and found out the Chick Fil A near me was closing. I rushed out of my office and made it to the closest one to my house so the food would be nice and hot for my family.
I went through the drive through and let them know I had no idea about the menu. The drive thru representative gave me the 411 of the menu and let me know the most ordered items by customers and was she very pleasent to speak with. I ordered all my food and was excited to finally try it for the first time. As I'm reaching to for my wallet in my usual pocket to pay for the items I realized that my wallet was no where near. I let the nice repetative know that I have to pull to the side to look for my wallet and didn't want to hold up the line.
As I am frantically like looking for my wallet they called out my name. I embarrassingly let them know, that I may have left my wallet at work and would have to come back.
I was greeted by two wonderful employees that shyly said that the food was already paid for. I was shocked and suprised and asked who paid for my food; they at first didn't want to tell me, but they just responded with, "Sir it's ok, sometimes employees will pay for our customers food!" I still in shock, thought no this can't be and thought it had to be a mistake. I let them know that I needed to know who paid so I could come back and pay for it. They stated that they would be closing at 10pm and that there was no need to pay for it, they they were concerned my food would be cold by the time I came back, and and that I was ok. Me being stubborn, demanded to know who it was, and they finally told me, "Sir it was us," with smile on their faces. I asked them their names and they told me it was Dasia F. and Bert L. I didn't know what to say. I just kept telling them thank you and kept asking how I could pay them back, but they refused, for my bill was quite large ($30.77 to be exact). I let them know that I would be back that night after I got my wallet, which was 15 min away across the other side of Fayetteville.
I didn't know what do or say at this point so I quickly went to my work and drove straight back to Chick Fil A. I unfortunately made it it there by 1015 pm in which they already closed the registers and still refused to let me pay. I spoke with their manager, on shift that night, and I made her promise me she would recognize Dasia and Bert for their selfless acts of kindness.
I never in the many days of dealing with restaurants or fast food have I ever had this kind of customer service or experience. Most of all, this was my first time eating at Chick Fil A, and this is the kind of thing that will make many customers keep coming back and customers for life. Did I mention my 2 young boys and wife loved the food? Go to this Chick Fil A on Raeford Rd of Fayetteville! All the staff were polite, friendly and most all customer service and food great! The location is perfect when commuting to...
Read moreWow what a cool drive thru!! It’s a door! Now that makes sense. This chick-fil-a is unique with its drive thru as a door so they can quickly access vehicles to deliver food without having employees stationed outside the whole time. There was almost no one in the drive thru when we showed up just after 8am. We typically visit the one on the other end of raeford road across from Harris teeter but we were traveling this morning and saw this gem! We didn’t even know it had opened. At “our usual” we ask for chicken nuggets and fries in the morning. My son isn’t a fan of breakfast food or hash browns. They don’t even blink and it’s always perfect. This chick-fil-a didn’t offer the fries. They asked us twice if we preferred hash browns after twice we asked for fries. So it’s 9:38 at and there is still a cold box of said hash browns in the car because my son doesn’t eat hash browns. To think I paid $15.68 for a drive thru breakfast and parts are still here because it wasn’t what we wanted. But hey, at least the chicken was awesome....or was it? Well...😬😬 the chicken pieces appeared to be smaller and crispier than normal. Look at the mini breakfast. Typically the chicken is so large the nugget won’t allow the bread to close but these were like crispy chicken morsels on bread. I guess we are used to a more consistent chain offering. The chicken nuggets were more dry and crispier too. On the bright side I did get more points added into my frequent visitor app...I hope. The girl took my phone and credit card inside the building and returned with both while I was a car back in the drive lane. I’m used to a scanner out in the drive thru lane. Let me check my...
Read moreI live very near this chick-fil-A and have eaten here a couple times. It was pleasant and the staff was very nice. However, on occassion I find myself needing to work for door dash to earn a little extra cash. I've picked up several orders and delivered several orders from this location as well as from others around Fayetteville. This location is, by far, the worst experience I've ever had as a door dasher, and there have been some others. Apparently they had some bad experiences with door dash, and the staff has been instructed to treat the dashers like criminals, or at least seems to be the issue. With our training we are explicitly told to NEVER press the 'Confirm Pickup' button on the app, unless we are in possession of the order for the customer. This location and ONLY this location, will not give the driver the food until after that button is pushed. I lost 30 minutes because they refused to give me the food. I am a woman nearing 60 who has spent hundreds of dollars at chick-fil-A in the past but will never again at this location. I also refused to accept Door Dash orders from this location. The one on Skibo and Raeford Road treat dashers with respect. They seem to forget that I am also a customer, and if they do not trust door dashers, they need to stop using...
