China Wok Buffet — Restaurant in Fayetteville

I unknowingly brought my family there to eat just at the end of lunch buffet. My daughter towards the end of our meal went back to food selections and put 3 cheese buns on her plate and brought them to the table and sat down. Immediately either the manager or owner came up to our table quickly and saying very loudly thats a dinner buffet item it's $2 more! Calling my family out like a bunch of thieves over 3 pieces of one item on the food buffet bar. If she handled it professionally and quietly this post wouldn't be happening. I used to frequently go there 1-2 a month n sometimes 3 but for her to treat us that badly and unprofessionally, to be that petty and greedy over a very simple mistake that I knew nothing about... I'll never go there again. I even found what looked to be human blood on a napkin that was wrapped around a fork they give you yo eat with i never lost my mind over it and simply asked for another. That lady needs some mental help and far better social and professional training. She's worried sooo much over just a simply mistake and just 3 pieces of 1 item over a $2 DIFFERENCE and treats people that badly... just wow! I told her at the counter I will never comeback over just a $2 difference n mistake again! She said I'm sorry, as in if thats how you feel... I said I'm not n yes you are as i walked out before I would've lost my ability to hold my tongue. I recommend to go elsewhere whereas before I directed people to them giving them praise but absolutely no longer because of her the rest of all the employees are great professional people BTW it just her( owner/manager whichever ) that...

Horrible service..... Walked into the restaurant with my kids and wife to be right at the time they opened. The hostess was rude. Prior to us seating we read the ages and prices associated with them for children to eat we agreed they were reasonable. While seating us she inquired about the age of my daughter. My wife said "She's 4" she's actually 5 and my daughter corrected her. The hostess then looked at my son and asked how old he was. As we pulled the sippy cup from his mouth we both said "1 year old". We sat and she proceeded to take our drink orders. My wife and I both order our drinks and then we order a drink for our 5 year old. The waitress/hostess asked what pour son was going to drink we advised that he would share his drink with his sister. The hostess/waitress says "They cant share a drink". My wife and I looked bewildered and kindly stated " Our daughter wont drink an entire adult drink by herself and our son is 1. It would be a waste of a drink to get him his own, when he can share with our daughter." The hostess/waitress said "They can't share period." So my family and i politely got up and stated "We refuse to patronize a business that is NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY." We left and patronized Mi Casita 2 doors down from China Wok. China Wok is not family or children friendly. Anyone I know. I hope you don't patronize there...

We used to come here so much in my late teens and early twenties and it was one of my favorite places.

The last few times I’ve gone (I’m is in my thirties), it’s been hit or miss. The front woman is always short with us, or she evil eyes you when you get food and we always get 1 or 2 plates.

The other staff is nice but it’s so awkward having them stare at you and your family while you eat and either laugh or snicker. And it could be nothing at all, but it bothers me.

The food on our recent visit had the oils separated from the sauce and the chicken was like warm/cool. Some had an off taste and others were delicious.

The walls above the drink menus in the booths are dirty and could use a good wipe down.

Also it’d nice to see them clean tables with a clean bucket of soapy water not the gray murky stuff... if you won’t clean your house that way, have the same respect for customers.

The one desert I tried was stale.

I will likely visit micasita next door with my family next time we are in town. You get better value for your dollar.

I’m disappointed to see this establishment that I once loved has gone down...
