Amelia Surf Co — Attraction in Fernandina Beach

Amelia Surf Company is awesome!! The staff and the owner Scott are fantastic folks. You're always made to feel welcome, they are all knowledgeable, and so helpful!! I am getting back in the surf after many years away and have been searching for a soft-top Longboard for an older guy like myself. Scott, the store owner worked with me and took the time to find me just the right Longboard. Although I'm not harshing on the colors and graphics of many soft-top Longboards in the market today, as a child of the '80s, I had enough neon & checkerboard patterns then. ;) Scott worked with me to find the right board I was seeking with a more subtle look to my liking and to fit my desire to get out there in the surf. Scott helped me locate a 9'2 Modern Surfboards - Modern Doublewide - Epoxy Soft Longboard through his suppliers. This longboard is great. The thing is a canoe and has massive buoyancy. It has so much buoyancy that even if you bury the nose in a wave it will still pop up. ;P Great board for me as an older guy getting back out into the water. We recently celebrated my son’s birthday with a surf party hosted by Amelia Surf Co, and it was hands down the best experience we’ve ever had. Huge shoutout to Scott for making it so memorable. I have always been very timid and scared to begin surfing because all of the rumors about localism and bullying in the surfing community. However, when I walked into this store, I felt nothing but welcoming and POSITIVE vibes. I was looking at the surfboard selection when a very nice and funny looking surfer boy came running up to me with the biggest smile I’ve ever seen. He began asking me where I was from and just had the coolest vibe of anybody I’ve ever met. We began talking for hours and he sold me a really cool surfboard with flames on it because he said it matched my personality!
