10/3 Still am not getting the correct bill! DO NOT RECOMMEND ALTAFIBER. This bi-weekly/monthly call, stop in, chat just to continually be told it's their error and it's been fixed only to get an incorrect bill is getting ridiculous. Bill this month after correction is $146 - was charge $380 instead!! And they don't offer anything to compensate for time and effort to fix an issue due to their fault!!
If I could rate them a zero I would. Since switching over to Alta Fiber, I've been in every month or on line chat to get my bill adjusted. Returned the router because I have my own. Was told they no longer allow you to have your own (while others I know have their own) but out of good faith they removed that charge and returned the router. oh BTW you have to keep your receipt to prove your returned it. Gave me the credit.
Next month they charged me for an additional 2 box tops and remotes. Back again and was told oops Alta Fiber does that occasionally (pay attention to your bills!!) and they returned what I didn't have and told me I'd need to keep those receipts because oops Alta Fiber doesn't always recognize that you returned any equipment. (again I didn't have those extra boxes). credit given.
Charged again for router (btw I have to call them in June 2023 to tell them I have my own router).
Charged again for box fees. Chatted and she said can't refund the charge!! really I never had those boxes and you won't credit for your error! she said out of good faith we'll credit those charges and they won't show next month!!
Received notice today, they again charged me a fee for not returning the boxes I never had. Another call to Alta Fiber and after some research he came back and said oops we see that isn't your fault, we''ll remove those charges.
They said from here on out my bill will be right ... let's see!! if screwed up again, they'll reimburse me for everything I paid and go elsewhere!! absolutely ridiculous!!! they have a rating of 6.4/10 ... guess I should have checked that before...
Read moreI had a bad experience with this company.. they were charging $109.00 per month for wifi and Internet and I had been with them for a few years and last week a tree limb fell and knocked the Internet out.. so I called them and they said somebody would be out between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm the next day to fix it and the next day came and 12:00 o'clock passed and I called them and they said their workers were all busy and they would be here to fix mine as soon as they got done.. so about an hour went by and the guy from altafiber called me and said he was looking at the work order and it was set up for the next day which was Sunday and I said hold on you guys said you were coming today and he said no your work order is for tomorrow and we went around and around until he pissed me off and I told him not to send anyone out here because I'm finding another company and he said what if we cut your bill down to $60.00 per month would you consider staying with us and I said no absolutely not.. you have tried for twenty minutes to convince me that I was wrong and they weren't supposed to come out till Sunday and I got up early just in case they showed up.. so I called another company with highspeed Internet for $50.00 per month... So it's amazing how things work out for the best and if my Internet hadn't gone out I would still be paying over double of what the cost really is... I will never have any dealings with altafiber again and that's about all I have to say about that ... Sincerely...
Read moreI'm a customer of 6 years, and have seen this customer service attributes deteriorate over the years to what I'd consider to be an incompetent level today. They've shown me that any one customer is not a priority to them as this was not the case several years ago. I have fiber optics with a "light-out" issue that has not been resolved in over a week's time. I've spoke to representatives (Rebecca, Justin, Adam, and Ron) each on a different day who were very polite and understanding of the ongoing battle. 2 different technicians came out to my house on 2 different accounts verifying everything was working properly and both techs submitted new tickets for the "light out" maintenance issue. They said it would be 24-48 hours before its resolved and its now been day 6. Its obviously Personally, this is unacceptable as i work from home and my kids also need it for their school work. Luckily, we have other companies as an option now and we will be changing internet providers after going through this fiasco. Also, this is not tied to a specific altafiber location.
