Absolutely love this park!!
I have had my son's birthday party here twice so far. It is only one pavilion but I actually like that about the park. And it is located right next to the playground.
There is tons of space for a bounce house and the such. Ample benches for your guest under the pavilion and around the pavilion. Of course like with any park, there are some restrictions but I've never had any issues. Both times I ordered pizza from Little Caesar's across the street. No high maintenance here.
Reservations are super easy. You simply go online and make your reservations. Since it is only one pavilion I would advise reserving early in advance. I honestly never had an issue with reserving though.
This park is always having some type of community events. I wish that they did a little more publicity for those events to let the community know. Perhaps they let the residents close by know. Sometimes I hear about events, sometimes I happen to see that something is going on when I am riding by.
There is also an inside room for rental. It would be the same reservation process as the outside pavilion; online.
Outside of parties, they have a great summer camp. I referred a friend of mine here one year and her kids have been coming here ever since.
For a park, the bathrooms are super clean and always have tissue. The staff is always friendly and available for questions. The attendants always provided me their number when I had a party should I needed them. They came around throughout the party to empty the trash and make sure everything was okay.
Overall I think this is...
Read moreGood evening, today I went to the park with my 8-year-old son to practice baseball. When I arrive, as usual, the park has half of all the lights off and I don't understand why there are ALWAYS people walking around the park. It's dangerous, so much darkness but still So I try to do something with my son so as not to miss the trip but after 10 minutes a man who works in the park approached me and told me that that part of the park was closed when I looked at the 3rd part of the park everything was closed I don't understand And I hope someone calls me to explain to me how a public park is always closed and we who pay taxes and taxes to the county cannot use said park. It is an illogical thing that it was published and we do not allow you to use it. The lady took me and me out. my son and he only told us that we could use a small space outside that was hardly lit. I felt at that moment that I was being treated in my own country in a park that is supposedly public as something that is of no use, what an unpleasant experience it takes away from me. 8 year old son I hope this helps you reflect and realize that things are not being done well in our Miami Dade county I hope this changes one day I feel very disconnected from the place and...
Read moreThe children's playground area is not huge but it is COMPLETELY covered/shaded from the sun! Kudos to this park for going that extra mile to shade this horribly baking sun! The bathrooms are clean and are located just steps from the playground, again, another plus! There are also two basic water fountains and picnic tables nearby. There is a walking/running side walk the surrounds the playground area, and steps away is a wooden gazebo. I did not see a sign detailing park hours though and I did not see any enforcement of any hours as I was there at 530 am, however, there might be. There is also a skate ramp at this park! Very cool! Skateboarders, push scooters and even rollerbladers are welcome! Plenty of local businesses, housing and even a school surround this little park. Overall, one of the better parks I've been to...
