A restaurant survives on customers and how much food they order on their stop. A customer chooses the spot to eat and spend their money.
It is obvious why the Checkers drive-through restaurants have been closing and very few survive.
I visited today after many years of purposely avoiding them due to the lack of customer services they are known for. I only visited because my daughter wanted to eat fries (just fries) but while I was there, I decided to grab a burger that called out to me. (Which was the #5 fries lovers, the burger had 1 fry in it and was missing the tomatoes and lettuce, it was ill prepared.) Once we pulled away, she saw that Checkers offers the watermelon slushies and asks to get one, so I assumed that I was able to add it to the order once I reached the window. As I arrive there, I kindly ask the gentleman that I needed to add a slushie to the order, and he refuses claiming it was "Company Policy" to not add anything to an order once the order was taken, I did get enraged and demanded to speak to the manager, which he claimed to be the manager at the moment and I asked to get his name (Juan Vargas), I asked for the territory managers name, and he stated that he was not allowed to share those details with me.
I explained to him that the added item was a drink, nothing that needed much to prepare, he adamantly stated he would not because the line was long. (which you can agree with me is ridiculous). I pulled over to the side and walked over to the walk-up and ordered my drink and Juan Vargas took my order.
You can believe that I will not spend another penny nor recommend this restaurant to anyone, I will write this kind of review everywhere I am able to.

Read moreI was placing my order and it did seem to be the speaker that was having issues. I tried to make sure my order was correct, due to problems in the past. The woman taking the order said “I got it! “ I drove up to the window a different female asked for $36.84. I asked if she could repeat the order that we were having issues with the speaker. She repeated the order, but was not correct. I then told her what the order should be...... We finally received out correct order. But as she was making sure the cook had made the burgers correctly. The original female that took the order was in the background saying “I told her I had got it and it was correct. Is she stupid or something?” The second female told me “the amount is $47.00.” Which obviously it was wrong! I went home and the food was not a normal Checkers burger. I was upset because of how I was treated, I checked the bag for my receipt and there was no receipt. I called the store 7 times to get a copy of my receipt, but no one answered the phone. I would not recommend this Checkers. They do not have what it takes to be in customer service. I see the worker from the window look my way and went back in without addressing anything. came back to minutes later to tell me to order and I signal that i was waiting for someone to talk to me through the intercom. He rudely say to go to the window. At the window he starts "educating me" on the proper way to order and that all i had to do was just say my order cause it was a robot and they don't have headset at the location. I explained that there was no sound and that i had no idea. he kept repeating the same and flexing an attitude because he has a posse of friends outside.
