Raspaos — Restaurant in Florida

Too slow! Muy lento! So be prepared to order before arriving. I was there at 2:30pm on a Friday so there's no excuse. That's one of slowest times in the restaurant industry and they weren't busy yet everyone else also waited over 25mins. Even pick-up orders.

I saw many women employees and they were all just standing around except for the food prep! What made things worse was the loud music with a ton of commotion, confusion and socializing going on between employees. They also had 2 kids running around the entire time. One would even go behind the counter. That's dangerous for the little kid who can get burned or cut. This all went on for a little over half an hour. I made the simplest to-go over for 1 person. Glad I ordered an empanada that came out right away otherwise I would have lost my mind. Even after half an hour I went to the Dollar Tree next door and bought some smokes. And tbh I had quit buying packs until I visited this Raspados spot. Yes I was hangry but had every reason to. There's many Colombian eateries within 1 mile and they all have better service. Including the one next door. Guess you have to be hung-over to visit this spot. Red beans were awesome. The huge plantain side with cheese inside was ok if you like plantains. The tilapia was prepared well I just prefer it blackened, baked or fried. This tilapia was prepared with some yellow sauce in a broiler and tasted bland. The empanada was good but the pico was more or less just hot green sauce. Other Colombian places give you something similar to spicy pico de gallo, this one had no tomatoes. The place is set up like a bar with long counters facing the work area or a wall with a couple of small tables inside and outside. The service is acceptable and in this visit the employee who took my order was very helpful in explaining the menu items. The food was plentiful and fairly good tasting. A little over seasoned for my taste but not bad. I ordered the bandeja paisa and arepa hamburguesa with a fruit salad for a total on $37. I was a little surprised by the price in such a small place and with such limited services and not so pleasant ambiance. Overall I think it is acceptable given the times and it is probably good for regular customers. As a professional athlete I have gone to many restaurants but this one here what an embarrassment it should be shut down because of how many mistakes they make and because how they treat their customers and is just very disgusting.They always get the order wrong you tell them once over the phone then you tell them in person and they still get your order wrong I had to make three trips before my order was correct. This place charges too much for so little they steal your money and they don’t even give you enough food $15 for a plate that’s not even worth nine dollars when I’ve gone to the restaurant to pay less about $12 and I got almost $20 worth of food they give more food this restaurant doesn’t give you nothing. I do not recommend this restaurant for anyone horrible service horrible customer service I do not recommend this place and ready to me I’ve never been treated this way with such bad service. Como un atleta profesional que he ido a muchos restaurantes me da una vergüenza de lo que me pasó aquí y encima de eso de la manera que no le ponen atención al cliente lo hacen esperar mucho tiempo y encima de eso voy descarados y me tocó que hacer más de dos casi tres viajes para que me corrigió a mi orden no se lee eso no es la primera vez que esto pasa la última vez hablé con el dueño supuestamente él dijo que él iba corregir los problemas y parece que empeoraron porque estas como la tercera o cuarta vez ya mi me pasa esto Y tengo yo que hacer más de un viaje para que me corrijan mi orden que yo pague. Parece que no supieran lo que están haciendo siempre cogen las órdenes mal el servicio es muy malo tan poquita comida le roban a uno tuve que hacer más de dos viajes para que me hicieran la comida correcta. Y no es la primera vez que esto me pasa ya me ha pasado 3 veces. No le recomiendo a nadie que ahí Mejor va allana otro restaurante colombiano porque este lugar mal servicio mala atención al cliente y le roban a uno cobran la bandeja paisa a $15 y lo que le dan a uno es una miseria que no vale ni nueve dólares al cambio en otros restaurantes ya pagado $12 y me han espantó que no puedo ni comérmelo todo y me lo tengo que llevar para la casa...
