Located in a really beautiful community, really clean, sunrise and sunset are beautiful and Ocean Avenue is right at opposite end of the street to surf or just go to the beach. Parking is free all around until 8:00 AM, but plenty of spaces and pay stations where you can pay with card.

If you’re taking a kid or anyone fishing for the first time and you want to GUARANTEE a bite, go to Black Dog Bait and Tackle like 5 minutes away, get one or two dozen live shrimp with a bubbler bucket and cast off any corner of this pier. I will say that the only thing that bit was catfish NONSTOP. They put up a fun fight and they come in all sizes and they rarely swallow the hook, but once you catch a couple, I suggest going to the beach or finishing up your bait at Geiger Point at Kiwani’s Park. You’ll have a better shot of catching some little snappers and drums (which you can’t keep any size in this area). Super beautiful spot though for a kid’s...

There is a nice park her with a great play ground for young kids. The pier is quite long with a large covered gazebo at the end. The pier gives you a great view of the Indian River which is quite wide at this point. The reason for the lost star is the parking situation. There are number spots with a sign to visit a 'Pay Station' which was the opposite direction of the pier (inconvenient) or a QR code to pay online. Great except it requires you to download an app which in turn requires you to set up an account and receive a text to confirm your phone # and account. OK, big hassle but I went ahead. Never received the code! Went back and tried again and made sure my phone # was correct but again no code received. Walked around a bit and cut my visit short as I did not want a ticket in a rental car....

The pier was nice enough and the neighborhood was pretty. The parking situation was terrible. It's pay to park, which isn't a deal breaker, in itself. The kiosk for the parking was broken and looks like it has been for a long time. You have to click on a QR code to pay. Took me 4 tries to actually get to the pay option around all the ads. It was 2.50 per hour, plus fees. You have to estimate how long you'll be there and input all of your info. It doesn't ask for your space number, but for your licence plate instead. At that point I just decided to leave and go somewhere else. Also, the pier does prohibit alcoholic beverages. This didn't affect my score, but it is worth noting because I couldn't find said...

Melbourne Park is an absolute gem! We visited just before sunset and were blown away by the beautiful views. The park itself is clean, peaceful, and a perfect spot to relax or take a stroll. The highlight for us was the long pier that stretches out over the water, offering a fantastic spot for fishing or just soaking in the scenery. As the sun set, the sky lit up in stunning shades of orange and pink, creating a picture-perfect moment. To top it all off, we even spotted a few dolphins playing near the pier! Whether you’re looking to fish, take in a gorgeous sunset, or just enjoy the water, this park is a must-visit. Highly recommend!
