The Worst Bartender I've Ever Encountered! I live close and want to love this local bar. Had a couple of pretty good bartender exerpiences but the last one sealed a deal: never again!
Went to watch a football game with my husband who was terminally ill.. When we walked in, the bartender was in a conflict with a table about the number of drinks she had served them. Greeted us by saying it was "like babysitting" upon serving us, referring to them.
We ordered and I had a beer, my husband a coke. He accidentally hit the coke and spilled it and the bartender rolled her eyes at him and appeared annoyed. A couple of minutes later, he closed his eyes and tried to momentarily put his head on the bar top. She came over promptly and physically tried to prompt him - at this point I explained that he had stage 4 cancer, was not feeling good but really wanted to want the game that we could not see at home. She responded with "well how was I supposed to know" . From there, I tried to get her a compassionate place but every effort took me to a deeper understanding that she will NEVER get it. It fascinates me that she could be working with the public with that attitude. Unfortunately, it was the last bar experience my husband of 26...
Read moreNOT ACTUALLY 2/5: A bartender was fired due to false accusations (slander) by a self-entitled "doctor" (in a bar... you're simply a patron) that decided she was super important and deserved better treatment. Without any evidence... Perhaps a Racial slur?, this woman and her group of friends went on a campaign to ruin, rather than save, the lives of others with some success. Congrats to them! Claiming racial prejudice helped their situation not one bit, aside from their egos, while hurting other's. I only respond with 2 stars because it seems that negative reviews get attention, as they showed up in the top 2/3 reviews I saw when asked to review. If there was an issue with race, many patrons that frequent this establishment would not do so. Nice job, doc! My actual review... It's pretty cool, clean, casual, and welcoming. Just bring your I.D. the first few visits and don't assume any delay in service has to do with ethnicity (reverse racism is...
Read moreIf you’re not white american you are simply not welcomed here. I didn’t even go inside.. I parked outside and went next door to the pizza establishment.. the regulars at the bar were putting stuff on my car and calling me and my cousin racial slurs saying go back to where we came from. Mind you, me and my cousin are both light skin puerto ricans. They must’ve saw our little flag inside of our car. So I can’t imagine what kind of experience a brother or sister with darker complexion might have in this plaza. I live right outside of melbourne, been coming here since a kid. So sad to see they’re locals are...
