Nautical Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne Beach

Never coming back. Ordered cafe con Leche last week and it was basically warm to cold. Totally get it not a big deal it happens but since the coffee was 4 bucks each my bf decided to call to ask if we could get reimbursed because we are sick of paying for stuff and not getting good quality things. Guy on the phone was super nice and so was my bf and said no problem. Called ahead today to pick them up and the guy on the phone said no problem I can do that. When I went to pick up the coffees I was going to put in a 5 dollar tip and just say thank you I appreciate it so much. Guy was super rude when I got there saying wait so why were the coffees bad no one ever complains about my coffees and wanted me to taste it right there to see if it was hot enough. The owner was rude too saying it will never happen again and then I offered to just pay for the coffees because it was awkward, terrible customer service but they said no so I still put a 5 dollar tip in. It was raining and had my dog and then asked for drink trays and they didn’t have any and they were just very rude talking to me. I can make better cafe con leche...

I first tried this place when I visited Melbourne Beach a few years ago. I come back here every chance I can get.

The Fish Sandwich is outstanding! It's so simple yet so delicious. Not frozen fish like typical restaurants. You could never go wrong with their Cuban Sandwich. Their pork is so good, especially with that chipotle aioli they make. I also got to try the Seafood empanada today. (I want more!) So so so good! Can't forget the Guava & Cheese empanada for desert. Amazing!! I am so happy that we finally were able to check this place out, they are now open every day but Monday. The Cuban coffee (Cortadito) was amazing as was the cheese and guava empanada! My husband loved what he ordered too, everything was so flavorful. The view from this place is pretty spectacular too, right on ocean avenue with views of the ocean from their tables.
