Don't look elsewhere. You found THAT place. It's been so hard to write this review because I'm hoping my authenticity comes through--this was the most wonderful vacation. I've been coming to Melbourne for almost my entire life and stayed here instead of with family this time with my boyfriend. We saw the area in a completely new, beautiful way. Each morning we had a deliciously crafted breakfast, and every day we enjoyed the beauty of the serene pool and the sweet company of both the other guests and our (I cannot overstate) wonderful hosts. Karl not only made our stay excellent, he helped my boyfriend receive a ring in the mail and covertly sneak it so I didn't see. He celebrated with us when we got engaged and quickly became a friend we'll never forget (his daughter Jess, too! :) ). On the detail side--the rooms were beautiful, the outdoor space was to die for, the food was excellent, the happy hours were each time such a delight. A quick walk and you find yourself at the beach or out to dinner or lunch very easily. If you feel like going further, you can trust your hosts to steer you in a great direction. We're already planning our next trip back. Hoping this time we get to meet Alison! :) Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone at Sea Glass Inn. Our stay was so special.

Now this is how a bed and breakfast should be done! I took my wife here for her birthday weekend and we had a blast. The staff/owners are awesome. They really enjoy what they do and it's very obvious. The location of this place is perfect. Walking distance to the Indian River with an awesome view from the Melbourne Beach Pier. If you decide to go in the opposite direction , Melbourne Beach is also a sight to see. It only depends on which way you feel like walking, east or west. They're both minutes away by foot. Local restaurants were delicious. We ate everything from the catch of the day to blackened steaks cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back. This is also a perfect place to go as two or more couples who want a bit of privacy instead of the hustle and bustle of a hotel. I can't say enough about this place....make a reservation while you can !!! Angela and Vernell

The SeaGlass Inn is a cute, quiet, clean B&B with upscale features like steam showers. Its next to a park and a pier on the river. The beach is a short walk away. There are restaurants in walking distance and Historic Melbourne with shops and dining is an easy drive. The owners were great. We enjoyed the cheese and wine happy hour both days of our stay. Breakfast was excellent too. The rooms are clean, inviting and well accommodated. The pool and fire-pit in the private courtyard are great for relaxing while staying in.

This hidden gem is the PERFECT getaway spot! My boyfriend and I, looking to take a vacation but unable to go far from home, found this tucked away between the Indian River and Atlantic Ocean and it is sure to impress! We stayed in the Sunset Suite and had the great pleasure of conversing with the owners Richard and Jeanne--- they were so incredibly hospitable, thoughtful, and basically go out of their way to make you feel all the comforts of home and then some!!! The wine and cheese happy hour also gave us a chance to chat with others staying here. Out back there was a cozy heated pool, gorgeous sea glass fire pit, and even a tree growing through the structure that increased the appeal 10 fold! Our suite had an awesome king bed, jetted tub, beautiful shower, seating area, personal balcony, 2 TVs with DVD player (Richard and Jeanne even have DVDs that you can borrow during your stay!). And a B&B wouldn't be complete without breakfast! Steve and the Chef made sure that it was 5 stars all the way-- unlimited fresh coffee and orange juice, a 1st course of fresh yogurt with pineapple, blueberries, cream and toasted coconut, and a 2nd course of spinach and tomato quiche, peppered bacon, and jalapeno corn bread with a strawberry jam. We finished our stay by borrowing bicycles they have on premises for you at no extra charge and taking a stroll around town. You really can't ask for a more cozy and welcoming place!!! Take a trip and fall in...

We were treated to a night at Sea Glass by our son and daughter-in-law. What a fantastic experience! The room, Golden Mango, was beautiful! It was roomy, with a huge king bed and large bathroom. The shower (which included a steam shower), was enormous, with two rain shower heads and a bench. Luxurious robes and toiletries were provided, as well as three boxes of tissues strategically placed throughout (so many lovely touches like that).

Just below our room was a gorgeous heated pool in a private courtyard, surrounded by beautiful landscaping, including a huge mango tree spreading its branches to provide shade for the entire courtyard.

The air conditioning and ceiling fan were both operated by remote control.

Snacks were provided inside the little dining area in the main house, as well as wine during happy hour. Breakfast was like none we have ever had -- a mango/guava/strawberry sorbet, followed by luscious, silky crepes filled with cheese and drizzled with strawberry compote, accompanied by a thick slice of warm bacon. It was fabulous! We felt like royalty the entire time.

The Sea Glass is located next to a fantastic steak house, where we sat at the bar to listen to live piano music, and enjoyed baked brie. Sunset was stunning over the Intercoastal Canal that evening as we walked to the restaurant next door. Parking is plentiful and easy.

We loved everything about the Sea Glass and will definitely be staying again...

This place is totally magical!!! The town of Melbourne itself is a laid back surf town full of friendly people and vibrant colors. I am so happy i stumbled across this little gem of a B and B by the ocean! I flew into town very last minute and wanted a unique and private spot for my boyfriend and i. I'm not a fan of cheesy overcrowded hotels. I called fairly late, after 7 pm. But the owner sounded so enthusiastic and Happy even over the phone, i was instantly sold! He explained check in was normally at 3...so he'd offer us a discount since we were coming so late. We didnt get there till almost 8:30pm, yet we were greeted genuinely and given a tour and some history of the incredible property. We were even allowed to swim in the pool after hours! The pool was heated and lit up an array of pretty colors. The room itself was immaculate...and included a bubble tub and a stone shower! I was honestly dumbfounded at all of the lovely plants and birds that thrived on the property. The next morning, we had a delicious from scratch breakfast that included freshly made sausage and berry compote. I loved that we werent rushed at all, and the owner was legitimately interested in where we came from and our travels. He was so down to earth and cool. I fell in love with the little health food store and chill surf shop with a greeter dog in town. Not to mention.. The seafood on the beach is so fresh and delicious. I cant wait...
