We had an awful experience at Party safari for my son’s birthday party today. I called prior to the party to ensure that they would be adequately staffed and would be able to meet our expectations after reading numerous negative Google reviews after booking. I was reassured that these reviews were false and came from “bad apple” guests. Once entering the building we gave our gifts, cakes, and other party supplies to the staff member and were told they would notify us when the room was ready for us to decorate. We realized shortly after our party began that staffing was in fact a huge issue and the activities that I paid for did not have someone to run them for the kids to play on. We constantly had to ask the few staff members we could find to send someone to our area so that the kids could enjoy the bumper cars, rock wall, and meltdown. With each activity there was a limit of how many kids could use it at one time so this left multiple kids in our party sitting out and waiting to enjoy to the fun until a staff member was available. We were never notified we could decorate our party room; we found out by chance when my in laws saw them moving our items from the front. Our name was then called for laser tag and we moved the kids to that area while other adults in our party attempted to set up the room which was not cleaned and they had to wipe down the tables and chairs themselves. The attendant at laser tag attempted to limit how many adults could be present with the kids in the laser tag room. Mind you this is a party of young children so we entered to assist and wound up having to put all the vests on the kids. We quickly realized we made the right decision to enter laser tag with the kids when the attendant left them completely alone and there were multiple areas that could have caused bodily harm. When we were done with laser tag and got to our party room, we were told the pizzas we ordered were not ready, we were never shown where the paper goods we paid for were located, there were no cake cutting utensils provided like we were told, and when our pizzas did arrive the attendant again left us and never came back. At the end of our party we asked to speak to the available manager to voice our concerns about our experience and we were met with the most unprofessional “manager” I have ever met. Not only did she refuse to speak to me in a more private setting about my concerns, she refused to hear them all together and stated that I could call and leave a voicemail for upper management on Monday. She refused to give me her full name, only that her first name was Lindsey, and rudely informed me that she didn’t have to divulge that information to me. She also told me with ease that nothing would be done about my concerns to rectify the situation. I was not looking for a refund, I’m aware this is a business and they have to make money, however there is a fine line between making money and robbery. For the amount of money I spent on this party I should not have had to ask for the bare minimum continually. I’m making this post for multiple reasons but the main ones are to make sure the owners are aware of the issues with their business and that others don’t make the same mistake I did in trusting them with my child’s birthday. What was meant to be a fun and exciting day turned into a logistical nightmare at...
Read moremy son had a party there Sunday March 16th at 1:30. When I arrived to at 1:15, and the line was out the door. I waited in line for several minutes until I just had to ask someone what do I need to do as I have party scheduled with an allotted amount of time. I spoke to a lady with blonde hair, she discussed payment and took my payment. No time table or expectations given on what to expect for the party. She asked me to bring my cake, and she put it on a cart along with my decorations and it sat there until I asked okay can we go to the room as it was then almost 1:45. The young lady I think her name was Elliot I’m not sure it started with a E. But she took me to the room . And she never came and checked in again at all. My guests were arriving but that line had quickly increased to a line around the side walk. No one was outside to check for ppl that was there for a party, no sign for directions for party guests. This was my first and my families first time visiting Party Safari. When guests were arriving the I had to go outside to find my guest. The only young lady there wasn’t able to stay in the front to check ppl waiver and give wristbands , so we waited for assistance which cut into time as well. I told the lady it is frustrating that I’m having to go outside to find my guest and I have to wait up front so you guys can check them in, all I got was “I got other parties”. I understand that. But I paid my money just like everyone else. Granted you guys couldn’t help that your busy but being nice would make anyone give grace. My guests were having issues with the waiver, instead of someone being in that room to help, they were sent back twice for doing the wrong waiver. The pizza was served late and cold, no one hosted in the room, I had to serve my guests . Only thing that was prioritized for them to do was to come and cut wrist bands off kids and they were never seen again. I cleaned the room also. It was absolutely chaotic. They opened at 1 Sunday and the room had trash and was sticky, and very dirty! My son turned two I spent majority of my time as employee for the day. This is a terrible business with a terrible staff! They are money hungry and if you spend your money there, you will be...
Read moreWalked in at 1:43 and ordered 1.5 hours of trampoline time, showed them our socks and they approved. 1:45 we got our bands that said 3:00... So paid for 90 minutes and got 75, I'm not bitter...much.
It's smaller than I expected/remembered and there is one employee that I could see to watch over a crowded area. Whatever, we didn't want to do the swing stuff that you need an employee to help with anyway, I guess.
Then 15 minutes before our time is up a new employee comes and says we have to buy EV new socks because they are the wrong brand and then walked off.
15 minutes before our time is up! it will take that long to go down, buy socks and put them on and come back. After already having the socks approved and being screwed out of 15 minutes I paid for I wasn't happy. And we were wearing brightly colored bands that announced that we only had fifteen minutes left, an employee should have be able to figure it out.
I mean how about, 'Hey, so you know those are the wrong socks, next time you really need to get our brand. I see you are almost done anyway so don't worry about it now!'. How hard would that have been?
So we decided to leave. I mean I did, my 4 year threw a tantrum because I had just given her a 10 minute warning and now we have to leave immediately.
So paid for 90 minutes for two people and got under an hour of jump time, yay value!
Then, while we were going to put on our shoes, I looked around and counted ten other people (kids/adults) with the wrong socks. Hey but let's pick on the four year old that has to leave soon, right?
The employee did thank me for understanding as we left. And I said we wouldn't be back under my breath. I mean I guess they were just doing their job, but I showed the socks we had when we came in and it was too late to buy socks and jump more, so it was bad timing and poor customer service.
Yeah, Party Safari - over priced, small, under staffed, bad customer service. And that's just the trampoline part, I can't speak to the rest.
We...
