My partner & I have been regulars @ this Soulshine for 2+ years (also having had good experiences @ the Ridgeland facility too), & we have always enjoyed the food & the professionalism & congeniality of the young servers. Tonight was a significant disappointment, however. We placed an order online, which we paid for & received notice that our order would be ready in 21-31 mins. When I arrived @ approximately 35 mins. later, I was told by a flighty & somewhat disagreeable woman that she did not have our order. She aggressively told me to produce my email evidencing our order. Since I'd inadvertently left my phone @ home I couldn't produce same. I offered other ways to locate our order & evidence of placing, while she periodically walked back & forth into the kitchen, on several occasions leaving me in mid-sentence & wondering whether there might be any continuity of service. During 1 of those interludes, a young server came over to me & was very apologetic & professional, telling me that as a result of recent bad weather, Soulshine had been having difficulties with their internet connection. Another woman came to offer assistance during another time the disagreeable woman walked back into the kitchen, & she was very hospitable & service-minded too. The original disagreeable woman finally stayed @ the counter long enough to finalize telling me that she didn't have my order, intimating that I hadn't placed one or that I was too stupid to have done so without having evidence when I came in but she'd take my order now. I was willing & ready to start over, understanding that these things happen & kindly mentioned that I'd understood that they'd been having internet difficulties. She became belligerent & denied that there had been internet problems. When I gently responded that one of the young servers had mentioned it to me, she became angrily emphatic that there hadn't been any problems with their internet. At that point, I realized that she had no interest in trying to move forward in a conscientious manner & told her that she had been rude & unprofessional, unliked the other 2, & I would be doing business elsewhere. It's really disappointing to me (and frankly, I'm shocked) that this happened given our past good experiences with Soulshine food & the young servers they employ. However, at this juncture, this "mature" woman (@ least age-wise) has definitely sullied my feelings about doing business with them again. BTW, Lost Pizza provided us with a terrific dinner order in lieu of the one lost soul...
Read moreIt's been a few years since I've been here. I regret not coming back sooner. I had the 1/4 muffaletta and a side salad. We also got a kids meal pizza. Just know that it is the same size as the adults small pizza, and we ended up taking half home. So if you have young ones, it would actually feed 2 kids. The house side salad was fresh and a lot bigger than I expected. The waitstaff were very friendly and prompt. We went on a busy lunch day and were very surprised at how quickly our orders came out. One thing to note is that this is a gourmet pizza place. It is more upscale than your everyday franchise pizza places. So expect to pay at least $20 per person. We had 3 adults and 1 kid. The other adults ordered small pizzas, and our check was a little over...
Read moreOrdered spaghetti and large pizza @ 6:50 pm. Gave my ph #. TG said would contact me in 20-30 min. At 7:40 I go to “to go”, ask TG if order is ready. “I have been looking for you”. Place was packed , I had sat on patio. I say, “you has my number!” “I forget. I am sorry.” “Me too” (I had already tipped her $5). “I hope you have a good day”. I say, “I hope you have one tomorrow.” I paid for tea. Did not get the tea. Got home. Spaghetti and pizza were excellent. It was the service, it failed. I drank water. Ticked at paying for it and not remembering to ask for it. Was it my responsibility to ask for what I already paid for? Food is good, but I am still ticked at no tea and waiting while food was cooling, and TG gave no real effort...
