Sakura Japanese Express — Restaurant in Flowood

After 2 years of not eating here, I decided to give this place another shot and was so disappointed.

I was served the wrong meal for our to go order. The server called me to let me know so I could pick up my order, but they took back the food that I had left with and opened in my car and gave it to another customer. This is a major health code violation.

Aside from that, the chicken had zero flavor and was extremely overcooked, and the same was true for the fried rice, no flavor and mushy.

I will definitely never return here, and I advise you not to eat here since they don't seem to care about health...

I have no idea how this place has 4.5 stars. Clearly their customer base has never eaten at another asian restaurant in their lives. Incredibly cheap ingredients for the same price or even more than competitors. Not only are the ingredients cheap, but to add another con is they just pour teriyaki sauce all over the meat to try and hide the cheapness and blandness. I came in to pick up an online order and the sweet boy at the counter opened the door for me before I ever came in! Once I got to the counter I realized my order was bigger than what I expected and the same guy helped me carry my order out to my car and even opened the door to my car and made sure I had everything set down before he headed off back inside.
