I am someone who started off not being a big believer in the benefits of yoga and mindfulness. This place definitely changed my mind. As soon as you walk in the door you feel a sense of peace and calm. I did the sound bath with Michelle which my friend Jackie Kawarsky recommended and it blew me away. It’s hard to describe the feeling you get but it’s amazing and you have to experience it!!! So today was my second time at Anuttara. The place is so relaxing and inspiring. They have something for everyone! Whether you’re just starting out like me or a seasoned yogi, it’s amazing. If you get the chance to take a class with Jackie Kawarsky you’re in for a treat. Her knowledge, technique and imagery is unbelievable. I left there today renewed and ready for the weekend!

I did not feel welcomed. The worst experience I’ve ever had at any yoga studio. The instructor, Philip, was extremely toxic. Yelled at multiple people for not doing exactly what he wanted them to do when he wanted it done. Although he never yelled at me, it made me feel very uncomfortable the way he be belittled and ridiculed newer people who could not perform to his liking. He also yelled at the front desk girl in front of the entire class. She was the nicest person there. He was very judgmental on everyone but himself. This guy should NOT be an instructor as you can see from the other comments he promotes a community of hate and confrontation. He is very quick to anger and hyper controlling.

Once I arrived the person in the front was very nice, the yoga instructor introduced himself before the class very nicely, and the class experience was a 10/10. I went to Anuttara Raj with Philip and the class was amazing in all senses. The knowledge giving throughout each pose, and the time and space given in during each pose to really connect with the breath. It had been a while since I had gone to a class that allowed me to go within while also draining out. My mind, and body felt so good! Felt like the perfect detox and connection within. Wish I lived closer, I would definitely be there everyday for it. Excited to go back another time. The yoga studio is also very beautiful!

There is no yoga school in Florida like Anuttara.

This is not to sound dramatic, it’s just truth. Anuttara has successfully done what many, many studios in the west have failed to do, and that is keeping the culture of India’s Yoga present throughout the entire practice. (The teachers whenever they speak in Sanskrit speak so eloquently, it is always refreshing to hear)

I first came to Anuttara 3 years ago, and since then, I have yet to find a school that compares to Anuttara. Anuttara has perfected teaching the proper alignment, and integrity of these sacred poses, in a way that is both exciting and engaging. They have made the yoga they teach a beautiful, harmonious blend of both science and art.

I’ve been to many different studios, both locally, and in Orlando where I currently reside as a student. Still, none are in the ranks of Anuttara. (I say this with no disrespect to other studios, of course there are other studios that have their benefits, so please do not misunderstand). As a certified Yoga instructor through the Yoga Alliance, the way Anuttara ensures students maintain the proper alignment in poses is the rarest thing you will find. I can’t even begin to describe how many yoga classes I’ve been to where the instructor doesn’t put any sort of emphasis on why alignment is so important.

In addition, Anuttara’s yoga flows are unique, consistent, and challenging. Again, in my journey, rarely do teachers provide transitions that are as fluid as the way yoga is taught at Anuttara. When they say the Vinyasa is a dance, they mean it.

You will never get hurt at Anuttara practicing yoga if you listen to the instructors, they know what they are doing.

Going to Anuttara consistently will make you a stronger, better yogi. When you leave your first Advanced Vinyasa class, you know you’ve achieved something great. I don’t know where my practice would be if my foundations were not rooted in Anuttara Vinyasa and Raja yoga, and I say that with honesty and sincerity.

If you have the ability, and are able to go to Anuttara to experience yoga, I would, and if you can make it your yoga shala just as I did, I would say you are very, very lucky. I miss going to Anuttara every day, and I hope one day to complete a teacher training there. (if you have the opportunity, I again, would highly encourage the investment to learn your teaching skills there)

If you haven’t, I would give Anuttara a try. You certainly will not be disappointed.

See you in the...

Title: Experiencing the Bliss: A Yoga Class Beyond Amazing

Introduction: Yoga, an ancient practice that combines physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation, has been captivating people for centuries. It offers numerous benefits for the mind, body, and soul. Recently, I had the pleasure of attending a yoga class that surpassed all my expectations, leaving me in a state of pure bliss…

The Skillful Instructor: The foundation of any exceptional yoga class lies in the guidance of a skilled instructor. Jackie not only possessed a deep understanding of yoga but also had the remarkable ability to create a harmonious atmosphere. Her soothing voice, clear instructions, and gentle guidance made the session not only educational but also deeply meditative.

The Perfect Ambiance: The ambiance of the yoga class played a crucial role in enhancing the overall experience. The room was tastefully decorated with calming colors and soft lighting, creating a serene and peaceful environment. The carefully selected background music further added to the soothing atmosphere, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the practice.

3.Encouraging and Supportive Environment: One of the most remarkable aspects of this yoga class was the sense of community and support among participants. The instructor fostered an environment of acceptance and non-judgment, allowing everyone to practice at their own pace and comfort level. This created a safe space where individuals could explore their limits, challenge themselves, and celebrate their progress without any pressure or comparison.

Conclusion: Attending this yoga class was not just a physical exercise but a soul-nourishing experience. From the skillful instructor to the tranquil ambiance, every element contributed to the class's exceptional nature. It reminded me of the transformative power of yoga and its ability to bring harmony and balance to our lives. If you ever get the opportunity to attend a yoga class that goes beyond the ordinary, I highly recommend embracing it with open...

I joined Anuttara about 3 months a go. I have dabbled off and on since 2016. My primary purpose in returning was therapeutic. The physical pain had become so much and a belief it yoga could bring relief.

When I entered the building there was an energy I hadn’t experienced at previously with yoga and studios. There is a reverence, peace, calmness, which felt deep to my core. It was intriguing and was one contributing factor to why I am still there.

I hadn’t done “heated” yoga prior and had this fear I was going to pass out, or something bad would happen. No stories to go off, just the story I told myself, lol.

After a regular session of yoga with Michelle and she was great I decided to try out the 7AM yoga class that runs Tuesdays/Thursdays. It was a meditative flow and allowed me to “tip the toe” into hot yoga. And I was not disappointed.

Sarah instructs the class. She kind, warmhearted, and an exceptional teacher. She really cares and you can tell. For someone new, she was the perfect fit. And the time works great with my schedule.

After a few sessions, I had the courage to join Phillips class. I had shared with my friends were ideas going. They knew him for years back and noting but positive things to say about him and what they learned from him while being taught.

Phillip didn’t disappoint. The instruction, since of humor, incorporating spirit, mind and body is transformative. He truly has a unique energy that slows him to touch many lives in different ways. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced, you will love Anuttara.

My overall quality of life has improved in part by incorporating my new yoga family into my life.

For someone that was “scared” of the unknown, I have no regrets and no plans of leaving anytime soon!

Thank you Phillip, Sarah, Michelle and all you you keep this place up and running! It really is transforming lives one...
