I wish I could give 6 stars! đ this is easily my new favorite spot in Fort Lauderdale. The coffee is incredible, the bites are delicious, and the people here elevate the vibe into another stratosphere. Speaking of the vibe, the design of the space is gorgeous. There was obviously so much care and intention giving to make the space warm, chic, and inviting. It transports you from Ft. Lauderdale to Mallorca and youâre living the European summer in Spain dream without leaving the city đ„°
Additionally, the owners and staff are so genuinely kind and welcoming, you feel right at home here. They made it feel just like theyâre inviting you into their living room for coffee and a chat â€ïž the quality of the coffee and food are the main event, and the prices are very good especially considering the quality. Iâve ordered the iced flan latte twice because itâs so delicious, and today I also tried the quiche - sun-dried tomato and pesto. So light and flavorful, the perfect bite for any time of day. Iâve also sampled the homemade guava and cheese poptart, which is a hit. Such a fun take on a south Florida staple pastry! Cannot recommend this place highly enough, stop by and give it a try - itâs sure to become your go-to for excellent coffee and bites. Plus an...
Read morePorfa was just okay for me. It was really busy on a late Monday morning which is a good thing for the business, but itâs also a very small cafĂ© so it felt overly packed and stuffy inside. Also, with their being so many people inside, it was very noisy and hard to carry on a conversation. The decor was cute and clean but itâs very small inside.
It also seemed that they were under staffed or, again, their kitchen area was not large enough to accommodate enough staff to serve the volume of customers. There was a line of people waiting to order and another cluster of people waiting to pick up their coffee. This contributed to the overflow of people in the cafe. So they need a better way to deal with the flow of moving customers in and out, or a bigger location. I ordered a Churro latte and a pastry. The woman taking orders seemed overwhelmed. She wasnât unfriendly but when I was asking her about pastries, it felt that she was in such a hurry, trying to take orders and help other employees behind the counter so it didnât feel like a personable experience.
The Churro latte was very sweetâŠ.too sweet for my liking. I liked the Churro cold foam. If it had less churro syrup, I think I wouldâve enjoyed this drink but for $7.50 Iâd prefer to spend my...
Read moreI'm always on the hunt for a new coffee shop to try, and on this given day, Porfa Coffee was the spot. Right away I liked the vibe and aesthetic here, from the decor to the seating, to the not-at-all loud music playing. Then, I noticed all the options offered on their menu, both for drinks and for food items. I got an iced vanilla cortado with oat milk, and we shared a matcha cookie. Both were great. The matcha cookie wasn't too matcha-y (which I liked because I'm not a big matcha fan), and the cortado was the perfect blend of coffee and vanilla flavoring. We didn't have to wait very long for our order, and anyway, we sat on one of their comfy seats while we waited. As we were leaving I read their sort of introductory letter posted in the front of the shop, which is how I learned that Porfa is owned by 3 sisters. Maybe I'm a sucker for woman-owned businesses, maybe it's because I have 2 sisters myself, or maybe it's just because the coffee was great, but Porfa was...
