Summer Spa — Attraction in Fort Lauderdale

Update 04.2022. Avoid. Things have, sadly, changed completely at this Spa. Amy is gone. There are now 3 different people on staff. I have gotten massage from all three over the past 3 months hoping to find a return of the previous excellent experience at this spa. Unfortunately, the experience is not longer one that I would recommend. The focus of operations seems to have changed from health and wellness of the customer to the size of the tip. Therefore, I will not return. The massage from the chinese lady was technically the best and most skilled. I went back 2 more times trying to get a massage from that provider, but she was either gone or not available, even though the person who booked the appointment said that she was available and gave me an appointment with her as the provider. Instead, I got a massage from the lady from Japan. It was an overall disappointment. She did a great job on the back, but she did only a cursory job on the rest, because she was more focused on getting a big tip. Perhaps she is just not as skilled in massage. Most recently, I got a massage from the lady from South Korea, and today is the first time in a long time that I am in more pain after a massage. She started out ok, but did not have the skill or focus to do a good job. She spoke good english, and I spent a considerable amount of time giving her instructions on where to focus, but she kept moving to the area on my back that is very sore right now. Meanwhile, the area of my back that was sore when I went in for a massage is still sore. This is my motivation to edit my review of this business. Marginal massage. Nice, clean, safe, well run business. I experience both chronic and acute pain- chronic from old military injuries and acute from when I forget about those issues and push it hard anyway, because life must go on, right? I get frequent massage to deal with these pains. When I am hurting, I really need a very good, deep, therapeutic massage to relieve the pain and restore full range of motion. Technical Skill. Current Massage therapists are not highly skilled. Caring and considerate. The staff are nice and friendly, but really more focused on tips than customer pain relief.

I would recommend A1 Spa to someone who just needs a mild, relaxing...

Okay I went to this place that is tucked away in the back of a little Plaza. there was plenty of parking. the door was locked so I rang the bell and a very sexy dressed woman answered the door. she brought me in and I paid for the hour and she gave me a half hearted massage for about 2 minutes and then she started getting adventurous she had this one really cool trick that she did with a feather but we'll talk about that somewhere else....anyway I ordered something off the menu....just the basic item, and everything was okay..... just about what you would expect..... the time may have been cut a little bit short.... tipped her I $50 ....she asked for more, and I said I didn't have any more she said next time you bring $60. so anyway, I left pretty happy... it wasn't bad it wasn't great. But she was definitely looking to upsell, so many guys will probably like it there. Let's start a review community. OF...

We called if they could take 3 walk ins and they said they could see us at 6pm. We ended up taking a wrong turn and added a couple mins to the trip so we called them to let them know. They said that they don’t do 3 massages and I said that you guys just told us to come at 6 and she hung up on me. I called again and went straight to voicemail. We drove an hour to get these messages as all the other places near by were not taking walk ins. If you could not perform the work then don’t tell us you can take us. We just wasted a bunch of gas and our time where we could have used that for something else.
