Tamarindo Harbor Italian Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

Massive diarrhea is what me and 3 of my colleagues have been experiencing for the past couple hours after going to this restaurant. (2 lucked out) My friend ordered lasagna bolognese and got eggplant parmesan instead, we brought this up with the waitress (who was partially struggling with the english) and she acknowledged it was not the right order however there was no noticeable active willingness to fix the issue. Instead, when it was time to pay, she was charged for the lasagna that she did not have, which is only 2 extra dollars but one would only think that they'd try to be proactive with it... They did correct the bill when we pointed it out afterwards so that's that. I'm not very picky with how I eat my steak, but I ordered medium rare skirt steak and I got medium well instead, and I just ate it but if you're reading this review and you know you like your steak a certain way, this place might not be for you. The waitress was also not writing down our orders and was just doing it by memory so THIS SPECIFIC PART might not be a kitchen issue but a waitress issue. However given the effect most of our stomachs had after eating food here we can say there's definitely some 💩 going on in the kitchen (pun intended). Crème Brûlée was the dessert of the day when we went, and as you can see by the picture, it was not properly caramelized and it was not crispy at all. Not properly cooked. If good authentic italian food was something I was after; I did not find it here. I'm giving it 1 star not only because I can't give any less, but because the place was clean and well maintained. I'd say, if we were a party of 2-4 the environment had the potential to be cozy but for a party of 6, I'd like to suggest that they get round tables otherwise conversation is difficult if you're trying to talk to everyone. I can't fully express how exceptional this restaurant is. I organized a sunset cruise for a group of 24 guests, but unfortunately, they didn’t have the provisions (food) we were expecting. In a moment of panic, I contacted the owner, Jackson, and explained the situation, hoping for a backup plan within 30 minutes (sounds impossible 🥵). Not only did he agree to accommodate us, he immediately began preparing for us. Once we arrived, he and his team welcomed us with such warmth and hospitality. Our table was beautifully set, complete with a customized and printed menu just for us. He chose 3 dinner options for our party and actually had custom printed menus! Wow!! Drinks, salad, and bread were flowing within minutes, and the food? Absolutely divine—without a doubt the best Italian cuisine we’ve ever had.

To top it off, there was a live performer who was fantastic! Totally unexpected, we had no clue there was entertainment but such another great treat. She engaged with everyone, took song requests, and even invited guests to join her to sing. The entire experience, from the atmosphere to the impeccable service, was beyond anything we could have hoped for. Jackson even served our table personally and jumped in to assist his team, going the extra mile to make us feel welcomed and special. He continued to check in and make sure we were ok and had everything we needed and accommodated every single request ❤️

I am incredibly grateful for everything. Jackson and his staff turned what could have been a stressful situation into an unforgettable evening. 8/28/24 my friend and I try different restaurants every week looking for great food and places to eat for the value. This restaurant was one of 3 restaurants that are a chain of restaurants the first time I went to El Tamarino Café on State Route 84 across from Lester‘s diner in Fortlauderdale near the airport. When I see a restaurant that has more cars than parking spaces I immediately think the restaurant knows what they’re doing. And must have great food and service. OMG ! I couldn’t believe how fantastic the food tasted I had the lunch special at El Tamarino Café on Wednesday 1/2 roasted chicken with two sides for $12. The Restrauraunt was packed with people waiting for a table. I was blown away by the service and cost of everything. I had enough to bring home for another meal.

Today 8/29/24 I went to Tamarindo Harbor bar and grill for lunch, it’s everything you want when you’re looking for something new to try out. Plenty of parking it’s on the curve of sunrise and federal Highway easy to find. I went there for lunch was greeted by friendly staff Jackson one of the waiters brought over samples from the kitchen a cup of soup a Plate of salad. Bread with olive oil and garlic. Here try the eggplant Parmesan to go with the meal we had already ordered. I haven’t seen this kind of service in years!! There wasn’t much of a lunch crowd maybe due to the weather I’m so blown away with this restaurant and the other restaurant I couldn’t say enough good things about this place.
