my reason for giving this place no stars is because i jus had an altercation with them ... i currently had a booking for this location for today and due to emergency reasons i had to change my travel reservations .... ive been trying to contact them for the pass 3 days no one seem to be answering the phone so i had to go ahead on thursday and cancel my reservation via expedia so apperently im guessing that expedia never contacted them and they were trying to charge my card for the balance of the trip so when i got the alert from my back i declined it since i had already cancelled the owner of the location took it up on his own to contact me an tell me that he think that i was telling a lie whe i said that i kept trying to reach them via email and phone and i need to send over my phone records to him or i need to find somewhere for my accodation ..... from me being a supervisor in customer service that was very unprofessional on his behalf and they dont nknow how to speak and address any matter professionally i did send him a very nice email saying he needs to get himself and his staff to take a course in customer service to deal with customers in the future but from my stand point that is unacceptable and i wouldnt recommend anyone to book with them with that...
Read moreI live in Ft. Lauderdale but we were just looking for a weekend getaway, a staycation if you will. :) I work late so my friend went there early and viewed the property and checked in. Her description of how nice the place was did it no justice at all. I absolutely loved the cozy feel of the place. The room was extremely immaculate. Floor so clean I could see my reflection!! The room we got had a full kitchen and a dining room table. The pool stayed open at night and because its just a small complex no one else was out on the first night and we were able to enjoy the beautifully lit pool and jacuzzi in the Florida night air alone. Towels were readily available along w/ sunscreen if we needed it. The next night I met Jay and Wayne out at the pool. They own and operate the guesthouse. I LOVE GREAT customer service and usually you can't even have a conversation with the owners. The day we checked out we weren't hounded about the time. It was storming terribly but most places wouldn't have cared they just want you out at check out. LOL. **Oh yeah and I forgot to mention that the property has a gate around it giving it a feel of safety, security and coziness. WE will definitely be back there and you...

However on July, 2 Carbon monoxide alarms went off at 3am in every room. We noticed a paper towel drapped over our alarm and notified the owner right away. People were clueless as the owner tried to scramble to find out why they’re going off instead of calling the fire department. We did not stick around and packed our bags and left. I told Chuck, the owner we were leaving and he verbally agreed to a refund the next day. I was calling him for over a week with no response. Instead of doing whats right, he finally called me harassing me and accusing me of “putting a bag over the alarm.” All for barely a $100 refund he is going to lie this way! Im a professional and no way expected such treatment. Hope the fire department and code department inspect his place. Doesn’t seem fitting to be up for business. Be aware...
