What a disappointment.
#1 crazy prices. $23 for a regular $9 burger.
#2. I was very clear I had allergies to milk and to GLUTEN and therefore give me a burger wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun and no cheese. THAT'S THE TIME TO TELL ME THAT THE FRIES THAT COMES WITH THE $23 BURGER ARE COATED IN FLOUR AKA GLUTEN! Poor training. If you're going to charge $23 for a burger and a SMALL side of fries then you invest the time and train your wait staff about ingredients. (Note: The waitress and the cook were very nice and friendly and the hamburger tasted good. Well it tasted good if it were a $12 hamburger but instead it was a mediocre $23 hamburger).
#3. It was 12:30 p.m. on a Thursday. A major lunch rush. There were three customers total. I should have taken the hint but I had a meeting nearby so I thought okay let me try this amazing $23 hamburger.
#4. Response to the fries fiasco was lame. I ended up having to take the food to go because it was a combination of me being in a rush and them not cooking all that fast but it wasn't horribly slow. Their response to me not being able to eat the fries was here is another to go box to put your little hamburger in without the fries. They didn't offer a substitute. They didn't proactively offer a discount. At the very end he did offer that I not pay the check but it was done reluctantly and I didn't want them to think I was putting on some sort of show so I can have a free $7 hamburger. Again I attribute this to poor training. When somebody's not happy with the food and you make a big mistake and in the case of an allergy which makes me really sick it's a very big mistake, you immediately try to resolve it by proactively offering replacement foods or proactively joyfully offering the money back instead of doing it with a tone of regret.
So I paid it and I'm never going back there again and I'm writing this to tell you it's not a great experience and you're better off going to Chipotle and getting two meals and maybe even a drink at that price.
Yes I left her a $3 tip which is why it was $23. I don't want to be accused of ripping off the waitress and absconding with a $23 hamburger.
UPDATE: I did call them the next day, 3 hours after the responded, as I thought it was good they they responded to this. After not knowing who I was, after telling me I called the restaurant not the office (I just dialed the number they asked me to dial), the response was "oh, so you want the refund NOW?" Again, it's the intent that matters. GRACIOUSLY offering a customer a refund is different than BEGRUDGINGLY offering them a refund. In fact I didn't want the refund...I wanted to discuss TRAINING the wait staff about allergies and ingredients.

Walking into this burger oasis feels like stepping into a whimsical dream. The tantalizing scent of fresh, gourmet burgers fills the air, and every corner of the place promises a delightful surprise. Imagine a vintage truck transformed into a bar and a smoothie station, evoking nostalgic vibes while serving up contemporary delights. The walls are adorned with panoramic ocean views, beautifully contrasting with the urban hustle showcased by traffic signs and plates artfully scattered about.
Now, let your eyes wander upwards to a breathtaking chandelier, a spider intricately crafted from aged metal pieces, casting ambient lighting that plays with the shadows and adds to the mystique.
The servers here are the embodiment of hospitality, making each guest feel cherished. And while the ambiance is captivating, it's the burgers that steal the show. Here are my top three picks, which are nothing short of culinary masterpieces:
Bet it all on Black Garlic - This 1855 Angus Blend burger is a symphony of flavors. Resting on a bed of black garlic roasted red onion aioli, cradled within a buttered brioche bun and crowned with black truffle sun cheese, sautéed portabella mushroom, candied bacon, and a lavish layer of black garlic aioli. A gourmet experience in every bite!
Nuthin But Truffle - The Angus BRGR, buttered and toasted to perfection, dances with notes of white truffle aioli, ARTISAN bacon, and a luxurious blend of black truffle sun cheese. Drenched in sautéed portobello mushrooms, this burger is pure opulence.
Serenity Bleu (AKA BUFFALO BLUE CHEESE BRGR) - This house blend BRGR is marinated in a zesty buffalo sauce, grilled flawlessly, and then adorned with creamy Dutch blue cheese, fresh lettuce, succulent tomato, and crisp red onion. A harmonious blend of heat and coolness.
In essence, this is not just a place to eat but a destination for every burger aficionado. A feast for the senses, it promises an unforgettable culinary journey. So, if you're in the mood for an adventure, look no further. Every visit here is a tale waiting...
Read moreWhen this place first opened up, it was constantly a 5/5, i’d even say a 6/5, but lately the past few times we’ve been here, each time has been more disappointing than the last. Most recently, we ordered the Mexican Street Corn as an appetizer, and it came out ice cold 25 minutes after we ordered it, even though there was only 2 other tables of 2 people seated at the time. Then not even 5 minutes after we received our freezing corn, our burgers came out leaving us no time to finish even half of the corn. The presentation and execution of both burgers were extremely poor compared to previous visits. My boyfriend had the PB&J burger, and the cheese was sloppily placed and looked and felt as if it was thrown out straight out of the cooler- it wasn’t melted whatsoever and was cold to the touch. My burger was more bun than anything else, not to mention it was hard to the point that made me question whether or not it was stale. We were also disappointed that they no longer serve the house cut fries that they used to, but instead now use freezer fries- the kind you get at Mc Donald’s except less fresh if that’s even possible. Also, while I understood the temporary use of disposable dinnerware when the virus first started, it’s over a year later and no other restaurant uses them anymore. It makes thing more difficult to eat, cut on/with plastic forks and knives and paper plates, and just takes away from the overall dining experience. We left with the thought of “Wow what a huge disappointment. Did we really just waste these calories and money on this??”. When the placed first opened and the owner was always there, everything always exceeded our expectations. We’ve talked with the owner and he always took such pride with his creations, and rightfully so. It’s sad to say because this used to be one of our favorite restaurants, but we probably won’t be returning here...
