02/10/2023 Tonight we celebrated our 8 year anniversary with yet, another FANTASTIC dining experience that we have grown to expect with each visit we make here! I had my usual favorite, Shrimp Scampi, as ALWAYS, it was off-the-chart delicious, served over their house made linguine, in an absolutely scrumptious garlic cream sauce..i always finished the entire plate!! Chi enjoyed one of this evenings specials, fresh, New Zealand black mussels in an extraordinary sauce that had a delightful suggestion of fennel, which made it particularly complimentary to the mussels, all served atop a plate of their house made fettuccine, it doesn't get much better than that.. we finished this wonderful repase with some Italian coffee and two of their delicious desserts, Tiramisu and their bread pudding, both are made in-house, and are exceptional to say the least, and I am a professional dessert maker and confectioner so, I know what desserts should be like.. so, with that said I suggest that you always leave room for dessert. *Note, they are large enough to share! I've posted the photos from this evening and will continue to post with each visit! Cheers everyone! Previous review: Having been many times, the experience never changes, it is ALWAYS EXCEPTIONAL!! From my first time during a previous visit before we moved here, I was just blown away with the cuisine that was presented! I had Shrimp Scampi for my first meal, OMG it was close to Nirvana! They make their own pastas here and there is nothing like it anywhere else! I ate every bit of the pasta, something I have NEVER done in any restaurant previously! It was just so good I couldn't stop eating it! And the hot bread with garlic oil is something not to be missed! Since then, we have relocated to Ft Lauderdale and we are able to dine here regularly. So far, I've had the Linguine with clams and white sauce, it was Delightful! As well as several other pastas I have enjoyed. Chi has had almost all of the pastas and we have never had anything other than an incredible meal on every occasion. We keep wanting to try the pizza but always get sidetracked to the pastas!! LoL! And ALWAYS leave room for dessert.. they make an extraordinary bread pudding there that is just scrumptious, it takes about 15 minutes to prepare and they only make a limited number every night so, we always pre-order it both when I make the reservations and, when we place our dinner order. The Tiramisu is another absolute favorite, they make their own and it too, is a wonderful creation. They have their own parking, and I would always suggest making reservations regardless of what night of the week it is.

TLDR: Great atmosphere and okay service ruined by bland and greasy food. Atmosphere: one of the nicest looking restaurants in the area and got our hopes up with how classy it was for the corner Italian restaurant. Service: Okay, cold, and efficient. We didn't feel unwelcome, but the server did not seem to care as much about us as others around. Food: the real disappointment. Look, I'm happy they have a plant-based menu with different options than just salad, but they just were not good. Also, please, if I can get vegan pasta all throughout Italy, you should have at least one vegan pasta option... The bruschetta was okay but nothing to write home about. Bread and tomatoes, with not a lot of flavor but wasn't bad. The Rosa pizza had no sauce and was just loaded with the fake cheese and extra oil that just sludged on the plate. Neither my wife or I could stomach more than one slice. Lastly, the biggest sadness was the risotto. Read my other reviews, I rarely say 'extreme' things. This was by far the worst risotto I've ever had. No flavor, high oil, did not taste like it was made with any care. The rice was gritty and separated rather than creamy with a nice wine sauce. After coming back from a week in Italy, we were hoping for anything that would just compare, but this was worse than the $10 pasta place in an ugly strip mall. As always, I would only give a 2 star a second chance if there was a significant change to the menu. I'm sorry, I really don't like giving below 3 stars, but we just can't recommend it.

I’m giving 2 stars because the chefs have nothing to do with service. The spritzer was tasty but very little alcohol. More ice than anything but a great taste. I've been here a few times and I always get the classic eggplant parm. So tender, not watery. The pomodoro sauce is so yummy. Garlic bread was lacking garlic this time but hey. My friend tried the salmon and he said had no distinct flavors but I'm sure it was tossed in iLife oil to showcase the fish flavor which he said was fresh. I recommend ordering a side pasta with this because he was still hungry after eating a bed of broccoli. When we attempted to pay for our check the server Calli informed us that certain cards don't work with their computer and she needed another form. I found this strange because it was a VISA and from a federal bank specifically for VETERANS/MILITARY PERSONNEL. I approached the male manager and he told me that "certain gift cards don't work" and corrected himself when he actually looked at the card clearly. He ran the card in front of me and it instantly went through. The server didn't even attempt because of an assumption, I assume. After a bunch of mild apologies for "confusion" (I was not confused) we left feeling very uncomfortable and a bit mortified. You can serve your country and be assumed you are paying with a gift card in 2019 apparently. But kudos to the chef, although I can't say I'll be back. I'm curious to find another go-to spot and will be trying Timpanos on Las olas next.

Let me start by saying, I don’t write many negative reviews on food, bc I like most anything... but before eating here I read reviews and was later disappointed, so I want to give readers a different opinion to review before choosing to eat at this restaurant. This is my family’s first time staying in Ft Lauderdale, and bc I was craving Italian and reviews were good we decided to give this a go. We were seated immediately and parking was easy, so “busy” wasn’t an excuse for any mishaps. To smell the garlic upon entering was a promise to be broken. There was no garlic bread or side dish included with the pasta dish that I ordered, nor complementary to the table. My dish of fettuccine alfredo was cold and over cooked. It wasn’t creamy where I could swirl up my noodles on my fork and have to wipe my face of creamy cheese sauce (as I had hoped)! Actually, it was so cold that it made a noise and stuck to my fork while trying to eat it. Sad thing is, me and my oldest (14yr young) son both ordered this. I had to pay extra for shrimp to be added to the dish and they were crunchy and cold, like pre-cooked cocktail shrimp that had been over heated on a griddle. There were about five of them laying on top of our pasta bowls, and they were an additional $8 for each of our dishes. There were no kid’s menus for the youngest kid, but luckily the ticket read “kid’s pizza,” and seemed a couple of dollars cheaper than menu price. Still, we all had water only and our family of four paid $86 without an appetizer, or bread and my husband needed a snack when he got home. On the other hand, the pizza was stringy and looked to be ok, and my cousin enjoyed his meal of stuffed chicken, and was full when he cleaned his plate. However I tried it and didn’t like it. Also, I tried my husband’s chicken that was in some sort of buttery sauce and it wasn’t good to me either. So, this was a onetime visit for my family, as I’m still craving “good” Italian food and I’m out $100 (including tip). This kind of experience is so annoying and so hopefully this will help others that read reviews and depend on them when deciding on that perfect place for dinner. To me and my family,...

so I've been coming here for years and years I've brought countless friends and family with me and we've always enjoyed ourselves. Now I feel something significant has changed, we came for a birthday celebration last week, there was a large loud crowd at the bar and scattered diners throughout but not more then 5 tables I'd say. server came over her name was Veselina she seemed nice enough though a bit of a fast talker we ordered drinks and apps .. ok fine.. now its entrée time I wanted the breaded veal and I asked if it was deep fried or pan fried and finished in the oven she said deep fried I asked would they pan fry it and finish in the oven for me instead of deep frying and she shut me down with a quick No they only deep fry it answer with I thought wow she won't even ask ... though I know better I ordered it deep fried, well deep fried it was in fact it was so deeply fried I think they threw it into the oil and came back 15 minutes later and said oops but served it anyway.. after 2 bites I returned it as it was like eating jerky I was so irritated I ordered no replacement and just waited for my family to finish thier meals which none did so we asked for to go containers.. one guest had pasta and a garlic roll on his plate Veselina took the plate and dumped it carelessly into a paper box ( another downgrade here) she brought it back to the table and continued to do the same with the other 2 guests meals. I didnt see the garlic roll anywhere so we asked her for another to go as we thought she didnt include it well the next day I found the 1st garlic roll under the pasta she tossed into the box. I knew after I asked about the veal chop she was unhappy with us but it was just a request one which wasn't even considered on a slow night .. she still got a decent tip but could have gotten a much better one had she been a little more pleasant with us.. at the end of the day, after more than 15 years coming here we most probably will not be back and that is disappointing to me...
