Well since I'm already fired with no hesitation I would say avoid the place. There is a roach infestation in which I have numerous videos and proof as to why I was voiding and comping food and whole 70 dollar tabs. If I could upload them I would. I worked in these condition because I needed to work 3rd shift I'm a single mother of 2 and I stay home during the day with my 3 year old. 6 year old is in school. I'm an Excellent server! And I KNOW Hospitality!! I was let go recently due to a customer that was drunk and nasty to me writing to corporate saying I didn't give him the right service I didnt bring water to the table there was no silverware or whatever which is true. Prior to him there was a 430 am rush 2 servers online orders uber door dash and to go orders to be placed. When that guest arrived I had him take a seat while I'm cashing out 4 split checks from one table. And remember majority of the restaurant is a wreck due to the rush... Now I did walk to the kitchen then I innocently forgot about this customer...And proceeded with OCD to clean. The other server says you know hes over there.. which I immediately went to him. He states oh you forgot about me is my appearance a problem let me take my hat off. In which I apologize and stated I will promise you hot food. Then this man continues on to say I dont have this I dont have that.. I was just trying to get your order in sir.... Oh well the last girl she brought me water and is that not a requirement.. I state actually it depends on the server . I will ask what you want because then the untouched glass sit there if you didn't ask for it. I see this man beginning to bicker.(I've been serving 17 years) I can tell an aura at a table so ask what hes eating an yo divert the conversation and gi to put in his order!! Now I have outstanding service I've worked at several high end places where it was mandatory to serve water. There where points of service. Now working at I hop you learn to work smarter not harder. Especially 3rd shift.. some customers run you ragged for nothing -$2.00 tip.. Its unbelievable sometimes. And remember we receive nothing for uber for door dash Aaand the online orders that chime in and we are obligated to send because it already paid for. These orders barely ever get a tip.! So anyhow. The man began tell the other server I'm a horrible waitress In which I ignored the first time. But when I did another round he says it again as I passed by him I'm a horrible server. In which I stated that I've served over 17 years. I know hospitality very well! I dont have to deal with your slander..especially for a 2 dollar tip.mind you he's eating already. That man was miserable. Misery loves company and I am not trying to sit with him!!! Meanwhile he has already Scarfed down a nice hot plate of food still talking mess about me. Now tell corporate to review all of my surveys I have 10x more good reviews. They fired me with no regards to them having asked well what happend? There 3 sides to a story. And that was unjust and wrong!! And this is hopefully my way to get to corporate my side of...
Read moreWe arrived at this IHOP around 9:30 and it appeared to be partially empty. We thought we had just missed the early morning crowd. I don’t think I was being nosy but very observant. I overheard the manager reprimanding the cashier about leaving people on hold for too long. He wasn’t being mean or rude however he should have been quieter or talk to her in a different location. The cashier seemed to be rolling her eyes at his words. He then went on to the start of what I would assume was an interview of a potential employee. Again not being nosy however they sat at the table next to us and were not very quiet. The manager asked the applicant why he was late and the answer was he overslept. Personally I would have sent him home. Then our waitress comes over “Courtney”. She took our order down. It was detailed and some substitutes were made. We were clear and she read it back before leaving. The food came out very fast however it was cold. Not warm but cool to the touch. The manager took it back and started the order over. Courtney took the platter with food and left me with the hot cakes. The syrup however was still on the platter she took away. The food came back somewhat warm to hot and included syrup which was no longer needed since there were no hot cakes. She didn’t even look puzzled as to why she was bringing back syrup to an order that had no hot cakes. The manager did discount the side orders for our troubles however we felt like this restaurant has some really bad issues, from top to bottom. Our experience was terrible and would never come back. Not a very friendly or inviting place. We are not looking for freebies or discounts. We were well prepared and willing to pay full price. All we wanted was good hot food, friendly service and got this. We still gave Courtney a 20% tip even though she had...
Read moreThis well known restaurant chain was one of my beloved Mom's favorites. We visited often so she could feast on a breakfast of yummy bananas foster pancakes, seasonal pumpkin spice pancakes or their standard go to fluffy buttermilk pancakes. We also loved their delicious veggie omelets if we needed healthier choices. I have many fond memories from making this IHOP one of our regular stops over the years. After mom was diagnosed with dementia, outings were limited by necessity and we stopped going. (Sadly, Mom lost her battle with this horrid disease but we are comforted by the fact that she isn't suffering anymore.) I am slowly getting back to doing all the things I placed on hold while I cared for her. My first visit, after mom passed, was to go to her favorite IHOP. Walking into this restaurant yesterday instantly brought back fond memories. It had undergone a complete transformation since our last visit. I was very pleased with the new, clean look and vibe. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was friendly and attentive and our food arrived fast which was not bad for a busy Saturday morning. I chose a build your own omelet and it was as good and tasty as it looked. I kept it simple with spinach, mushrooms and cheddar cheese which were piled on and very filling. The buttermilk pancakes were as awesome as I remembered them to be. The nicest surprise though was seeing the small coffee pot on our table! In the past, it was always convenient to be able to pour your own coffee without having to chase down your server for refills. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant if you're in the area. You'll find a pleasant atmosphere, good service and tasty food for a reasonable cost. It may be worth it if you have favorite memories of eating here in the past while making new memories in...
