Little Sunshine Dental Group — Attraction in Fort Lee

If I could give zero stars I would. I took my kids for a follow up (first time here) and came out with a traumatized child. My son had a deep cavity, the dentist suggested the tooth get extracted since it was so deep and was his baby tooth. During the extraction period, my son was screaming and crying. As a kids he didn’t understand what was going on but the dentist did a horrific job making it as seamless as possible. She struggled to remove the tooth. Made multiple attempts and even lied to my son about her next moves which made it worse because then he didn’t trust her. After several attempts to take out the tooth she was unsuccessful and left 1/3 of the tooth in the gum. My husband had to restrain my son because he was so out of character which was never ever a case with any other visit. It broke my heart watching what was going on, I even cried. I was disappointed and even felt guilty for what my son went through. She suggested it would be ok the leave the rest of the tooth in place and stop the procedure. It was like a crime scene and I’m not even exaggerating. They did a poor job catering to a child during such process. They DID NOT even follow up with me ever!!!! Not once to see how he was doing. My son was mute for most the day, he is fine now. And I went to a oral surgeon in Teaneck who my ortho recommended, to remove what was left of the tooth (infection risk). They were amazing, unlike this place. HORRIFIC HORRIFC HORRIFIC!! Don’t go this place as they do not care for your little ones. Not even a follow...

Why is this place called 'Little Sunshine Pediatric Dentistry'??? It should be called 'Lots of Sunshine Pediatric Dentistry'!!! This facility is FULL of BRIGHT, SUPER friendly staff from the receptionist and nurses to the Dentists! Every single staff member showed off their beautiful smiles and instantly made our daughter feel comfortable during her first ever visit to a dentist.

Dr Yoomi Heo and her assistants were fantastic with making Kayla feel comfortable and excited about her visit to the dentist office. Kayla had a general check-up, x-rays taken and plaque removed today and the way the staff at 'Lots of Sunshine Dentistry' introduced her to the tools and procedures instantly made her feel secure about the visit and actually made her enjoy it so much she wanted to come back again tomorrow.

When Kayla first sat down in the chair, the dentist explained how everything worked and gave Kayla a small prize for doing so well with having her x-rays taken. After the entire procedure the dentist rewarded her again for a job well done by giving her a token to their toy capsule vending machine!

The facility is very well kept, staff very professional and courteous, and best of all they had plenty of parking. If you're looking for an excellent Pediatric Dentist, this most certainly is the spot!

Absolutely phenomenal! Little Sunshine, which is small in interior, cannot hold the tremendous amount of love it has for its patients! I first came here with my daughter Emma because her old dentist didn't know how to handle a more excited child, and I am so blessed to have found Little Sunshine through a friend's gracious recommendation. When Emma first entered the office, she was jubilant because they had her favorite movie "Trolls" on and a wide selection of plushies that made her laugh, especially the ones with human teeth! It's like they know how to make kids feel at home. During the actual appointment, I watched as Dr. Chung mindfully cleaned Emma's teeth all while asking her if anything hurts, making sure that my daughter was comfortable throughout the entire experience. I've never seen such gentle gestures from other dental offices, and I can't thank Dr. Chung and the rest of the workers enough for how much care they provided. I also want to add that Little Sunshine takes infection control very seriously; I saw a glimpse of how much the chair Emma was going to lay on to the counter with a monitor that was some feet away was wiped down thoroughly. When I saw how much they cleaned the area, I felt confident that Emma and I were not in contact with any germs or other harmful diseases that could have come from other patients. Thank you...
