If you're looking for a manicure, look elsewhere. On 02/08/17, I initially went to the XpresSpa (in MSP airport) near Gate F6. I was told the only manicurist was down at their other location near Concourse D (next to the McDonald's). They were nice enough to call to the other location and get me a 3:30pm appointment (it was 2:30pm at the time). I was told I needed to go over there and be physically present in order to hold my appointment. I walked down to the other location and told them I was there for my 3:30 appointment. The girl was very pleasant and walked me over to the other side where there ended up being some confusion as to whether they were going to be able to accommodate my appointment time, since the other girl who was apparently also supposed to be there was not. I took a seat anyway. The mandatory waiting wasn't very convenient, but I got to wait in a massage chair, so it wasn't too bad. As I waited, I watched the continuous general confusion of who-was-next, what-is-the-wait-time, who's-coming-in-to-help, etc. It is VERY apparent that they need better management. When it was finally my turn, which did end up being on-time, the manicurist was nice, but not very good. She could not accommodate my request for a nail design, because "the other girl can do those, but she's off-shift now". I said ok, and just picked out some sparkly color. Also, as a side note, their choice of gel colors is NOT extensive; maybe 20... After I picked my color, I proceeded to have a very PAINFUL manicure. LITERALLY. YOU CANNOT USE TOOLS AND CLIP CUTICLES ON DRY NAILS!!!!! I have skin cuts on two of my nails and another two just plain hurt from her dry scraping! The overall gel polish turned out ok. Literally, just ok. I have the whole gel set up at home and can do a better job. The color is even, but the nail tips aren't closed very well. So anyone familiar with gel knows that they'll last about 3 days if I'm lucky.
The manicure was NOT worth $50, or the literal pain that came with it. I will NEVER return. 2 stars because staff...
Read moreHad 3 hours to kill at the airport thought I was in need of a haircut and walked in the Regis Spa terminal F. The first impression was the place was empty and it shouldn't take that long. The guy at the register was sleeping when I got there. He said it would be an hour wait. I looked around as there was only one customer in the facility. I said sure, he then said it was first come first serve and that I couldn't leave. I said ok and sat down. He then said he didn't think they would have time and asked when my flight departs. I told him I had 3 hours. After sitting for about 5 min he came.back and said they wouldn't be able to do it in time. Really??? It was clear these guys do not like to work and I'm hoping the manager or owner of the store reads this......
Read moreIf I could give them a 0, I would. My flight got delayed for a few hours. I have pre-existing health conditions and was in some pain. I walked over to Xpress spa and the lady told me that I would be 30 minutes. She told me to come back. I asked if I could just wait in the store because I was soo tired and exhausted, and she said you can come back. When I came back, they took two people in front of me and a different lady told me they didn’t hold spots. You should have stayed. I told her what that lady said to me. She said that I probably misunderstood. I most certainly did not because she told me “you can come back.” She offered me a discount for their zero gravity chairs and I refused to give them any of my money after that. Just terrible...
