Caribou Coffee — Restaurant in Fort Snelling Unorganized Territory

So my cashier I believe HER name was JENNA.. She was very nice. Smiled the whole time and made MY day started off GREAT!!. Which I can appreciate ☺️ (.. HOWEVER I WILL BE MAKING AN COMPLAINT TO MANAGEMENT AND BEYOND ABOUT THE CO WORKER WITH THE NAME LUCKY ON HER NAME TAG! I HAD TO ASK CAN I GET AN CUP OF ICE WATER. TWICE... SHE STARED AT ME WITH AN ATTITUDE AND SAID DID YOU PAY AND HAD THE AUDACITY TO ROLL HER EYES AT ME... I STATED NO I DID NOT THEN SHE SAID IT'S .50!!.. SO I LOOK AT HER AND SAID OHH OK.. THEN SHE JUS RAISED HER VOICE SO LOUD AND SAID SO DO YOU WANT THE FREE ONE!, SO LOUD AND WITH AN ATTITUDE IM STANDING THERE FEELING SO EMBARRASSED AND I'M SHOCK BECAUSE I COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT!.. HER CO WORKERS AND PPL BY ME EVEN WAS LIKE OMG!.. THAT SO UNACCEPTABLE!?.. I'M AN METRO TRANSIT BUS OPERATER AND DEAL WORK THE PUBLIC SO I KNOW CUSTOMER SERVICE!..I HOPE SOMEONE LOOKS INTO THIS I WILL WELL CALL IN...

Incompetent and rude. Go to Starbucks instead. I ordered a basic, skim milk latte. I paid and then waited. And waited. And waited. I waited for nearly 15 minutes while many people behind me got their orders. I finally asked a worker when mine would be ready. They said they didn’t see my order on their screen and I repeated my order and the time I made it and the total and pointed to the woman who had taken the order. The worker just said she didn’t and stood there, so I insisted she make me my order. After a few minutes she handed me a “latte” that was 50% foam and made of whole, not skim, milk (which I didn’t discover until I was at my gate because by this point boarding had begun). I couldn’t even reach my finger far enough down into the cup to scoop out all the foam. It was just mean hearted and uncalled for. So I say again, go to Starbucks, instead—you can even get rewards...

Caribou Coffee is my favorite coffee chain. They have a fun Northwoods theme for their interior (maybe I’m biased being part Minnesotan), and their coffee always tastes fresh and expertly prepared.

This location is the first Caribou to open at MSP each day, and it is also the most apt to receive arriving and departing traffic at this airport. It was open at 5:00 AM so I was able to get coffee for my 6:00 flight. The line became long (out the door) quite quickly, so leave plenty of time if you are interested. The app wasn’t taking orders, so that wasn’t an option - but it also wasn’t slowing down the delivery of drinks.
