We had a wonderful time renting a tiki pontoon with a slide from The Beach Weekend during 4th of July week! The boat was very clean, spacious, and well-maintained, which made for a super comfortable day on the water. One of the highlights for us was how accessible the experience was. My stepson uses a wheelchair, and the staff went above and beyond by bringing out a ramp so he could board easily. He fit right through the pontoon gate, and it made a huge difference in making the day enjoyable for everyone. We really appreciated their thoughtfulness and accommodation. Our captain, Shane T, was excellent—calm, knowledgeable, and friendly. He made us feel completely safe and relaxed throughout the trip. He also went out of his way to help other boaters at Crab Island who were struggling with anchoring. It was clear he knew the area well and genuinely cared about everyone having a stress-free time. If you're looking for a high-energy, party-style captain, there are others available (at a higher price). But if you're traveling with small kids or just want a smooth, safe, and stress-free experience, Shane is absolutely your guy.

A few things to keep in mind: 💰 It’s pricey, especially during peak weeks like the 4th of July—but that’s to be expected. 💳 You’ll need to either pay $50 for insurance or have a $500 hold placed on your credit card. 🧭 If you’re not driving the boat yourself, you’ll need to hire a captain separately. They provide a list of suggested captains, but you’ll need to arrange it and provide their name before your trip. Expect to pay $50/hour or more, plus gratuity (around 20% of the boat rental), and a tip for the deckhand as well. 🛍️ The on-site store was great—stocked with everything you might need and not overpriced, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, it was a memorable and smooth experience, and we’d definitely rent from them again. Just be sure to budget for the extras and plan ahead for...

🌊🐬🦈🦀 Review: Beach Weekend Snorkeling and Dolphin Tour 🌊🐬🦈🦀

Our snorkeling and dolphin tour with Beach Weekend in Fort Walton Beach was an absolutely incredible adventure! 🤩 Captain Mike and his amazing crew made this experience truly unforgettable. From Fort Walton to Destin, they took us on an exciting journey filled with marine wonders.

We were thrilled to spot dolphins and sharks during the trip, and the highlight was definitely catching hermit crabs! 🐬🦈🦀 It was so much fun for both my 7-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter. They had a blast and couldn't stop talking about it afterward.

Captain Mike's birthday being tomorrow added an extra special touch to the tour. 🎂 We all sang Happy Birthday to him, and one of his crew members managed to photo bomb us with a hilarious picture. It was a delightful surprise that made the experience even more memorable. 📸😄

The customer service provided by Captain Mike and his crew was outstanding. They were attentive, friendly, and made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire journey. 🛥️👍

We'd like to let everyone know that you will definitely catch crabs on this tour, but don't worry, not the bad kind! 🦀😉 So, come prepared for some exciting encounters with marine life and a lot of laughter.

This was such a fantastic adventure that we can't wait to do it again. We'll be repeat customers for sure! 🌟 Thank you, Beach Weekend, for giving us the opportunity to create cherished memories with our family. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an absolutely great time! 🌊🐬🦈🦀❤️

We recently used Beach Weekend Marina for a pontoon rental to Crab Island during a bachelorette party weekend in Destin, and it was one of the absolute highlights of our trip! While the rental isn’t cheap, I can confidently say it’s worth every penny — especially for a special occasion like a bachelorette party.

We had a group of nearly 20 and rented two pontoons online through their website for a Saturday. The booking process was smooth, and the team called to confirm details and arrange a captain for each of our boats. We originally reserved a 4-hour rental (11 am to 3 pm), but ended up adding an extra hour once at Crab Island for just $50 more through the marina, plus additional pay for each of our captains.

We had Captain Georgina and Captain Chuck — and while both were great, Georgina was truly incredible! I can’t recommend her enough. At no extra cost, she brought along complimentary margaritas, Jell-O shots, fun inflatables, floating beer pong, and a speaker for music. She went above and beyond by taking candid photos and videos throughout the day and even created a TikTok highlight to a song of our choice, which she shared with us afterward. Such a thoughtful and personal touch!

If you’re planning a group trip in the Destin or Miramar Beach area, definitely consider renting pontoons through Beach Weekend Marina and ask for Captain Georgina if you can — she helped make our day at Crab Island absolutely...

Me and several others, were and are very disappointed about the crab excursion, we were booked on the last shuttle of the day. There was nothing Emerald about it. The water at crab island was full of heavy debris filled with jellyfish that bite several of us, after only 15 to 20 minutes after we docked just about everyone was back on the boat with screaming crying children that were bitten several times, the captain solution was to move far away from crab island, and near the shoreline. When we relocated, we only had 20 minutes just to get back on the boat because he left three people behind, so we all had to board back up to get them, which was approx 45 mins or so for that process and return where the raft were left just to have a few minutes in the water. I am sorry but this was Not a Crab Island excursion, it was a shuttle ride with a couple quick stops to get in the water. In my opinion if we were the last excursion of the day, other customers and the captain before us should have known about the water conditions and gave us an opportunity to reschedule. As you can see from the photos the water was like a swap. With all due respect I would greatly appreciate a refund because None of us received what we paid for.
