Fort Walton Beach Landing Park — Attraction in Fort Walton Beach

This is one of our favorite playgrounds. Its beautifully shaded by trees and the playground is very fun for the kiddos. Also there's a lovely view of the water which for me adds to the enjoyment as a sitting mom. Highly recommend. The only reason I took away a star is due to an occasional set of homeless folks that will camp out in one of the parks entrances from time to time. I have zero against them but I also do not trust that they won't do something towards my child with all that is going on these days. So when they aren't there we totally enjoy this place.

(Update: in the last year it seems the city has made a better effort to clear the park of the homeless who used to hangout there. We've gone many times this year and not seen them again. It's my kids favorite so I'm...

Love this park and the changes made to the playground. Unfortunately my daughter was able to test the efficacy of the new padding that replaced the sand and sticks under the playground equipment. It passed, she's fine. Looking forward to the upgrade of the shoreline and stage area. (Anyone know a timeline on those?) It would be nice to add a few benches and picnic seating but I understand the omission in order to deter overnight guests. I would also suggest that they keep the lighting that they use during the holidays. It adds a beautiful atmosphere that would be perfect year round. A great place to enjoy a concert in the park, a fireworks display at night and a nice breeze off...

The landing is the perfect neighbor spot to visit. for a walk to enjoy the view exercising as you walk. Pet friendly Enjoy an event planned by the local community, ie. Music, charitable events, an open fresh market foods and crafts. 3 children events, special occasion events 4 the landing is a favorite for families as well as any age to enjoy fresh air. There adre boat ramps, BBQ area including tables with benches fishing areas, playgrounds, a's well as clean restrooms. Day and night there are secure parking and safety provided for visitors. 5 Located down town with wonderful shopping for clothes, gifts, anything special. Restaurants, community bars...
