Copper Forge Distilling — Attraction in Fort Wayne

One of the best kept secrets in Fort Wayne! An intimate tasting room located within the distillery gives a unique experience to any thirsty traveler looking for something refreshing and interesting!

All cocktails served at the tasting room are skillfully prepared using small batch spirits crafted on site; not only are these spirits of exceptional quality in my opinion, but a number of them legitimately award winning!

This small family owned business operates in Fort Wayne with a focus on commitment and advancement to the craft of distilling (and the larger history of the distilling arts), while sourcing a majority of their ingredients locally. Each bottle is made to exacting specifications, and the cocktails made to showcase them are of the same caliber.

In very few places can you find an opportunity to enjoy the company of the craftsman while enjoying his product and discussing the process in as much detail as you could possibly handle.

10/10, I will be back, and I will gladly pronounce anyone a fool who neglects their chance to visit. Seriously, these guys need a Michelin star (probably 2 because it's well worth a detour for this...

A good friend of mine and myself were dropped off her by our wives while they went shopping. It was an excellent decision on our part. The gentleman was extremely helpful and friendly and the spirits they are making here are excellent! (He is an Air Force veteran and for that I thank you for your service!) The mixed drinks were all excellent and extremely tasty! The other customers here were also extremely friendly and the atmosphere here was fun. When our better halves returned they also had a drink and throughly enjoyed them. It is a small place and I have a feeling that they will outgrow this place quickly. The peppermint schnapps is the best that I have ever had! (By the way you can add this to a chocolate shake and make a amazing adult chocolate/peppermint shake! 😃) Even though this is a 1-1/4 hour drive for us we will frequent this distillery! Copper Forge was a hidden gem of Fort Wayne. It’s marked outside, but it’s not too clear, and the bar is hidden behind a barrel storage room. It’s still a nice space, and the staff was very friendly. They have a decent number of their own spirits and the drink menu is delightful. I tried their schnapps flight and a drink called a chiliguarro. The schnapps were sweet but delicious, and I can’t recommend the peach schnapps enough. The chiliguarro was great and had a vegetal note plus spice that made it very interesting.
