I used to love this store. My kids and I were in there all the time and everything we bought was quality.
Today changed that. My kids and I traded in a bunch of items today, got a "fair"amount for trade in value. A Switch, Xbox 1, games and so forth. No problem there.
My oldest was able to get a VR set and I got a Versa 2. When we had originally brought our stuff to trade in I had decided to get the Versa 2 as an upgrade to my Versa. They looked at my Versa and quoted $28 for trade in. I was happy with that. Just didn't have the charger with me so we dropped everything else off and came home. After work we went back to get our traded items and we hand them my Versa with the charger. They told us we'd have to wait again for them to look at the Versa. Ended up waiting 50 minutes for them to suddenly offer me $9. What happened??? Well apparently there was a scratch on the screen. And there was now. My problem with that is there wasn't a freaking scratch when I handed to them. I had a screen protector on that thing since the day I got it! I handed it to them with no scratches. My best guess is the scratch happened when, and I watched the guy do it, tossed my Versa into one of the blue buckets behind their counter. Literally tossed it in like it was junk. I know it's an old model but, it was pristine!
My first issue is with the Versa 2 I did get from them though. Came home and went to put it on the charger it came with and the charger is for a freaking standard Versa! I called them and shockingly they didn't have a charger for the Versa 2.
I know it worked and had the right charger because I tested it before I bought it from you earlier this afternoon. The gentleman plugged it in for me and we made sure it worked.
Where'd the charger go in the 4 hours between us dropping our trade ins to you and us picking our new stuff up????
Now I get to spend more money for something that DID have all the correct parts and now doesn't.
Biggest issue! The Switch we took in. THEY KEPT IT WITHOUT PAYING US FOR IT!!! Stupid us for not noticing but, we had NEVER had these problems before and ignorantly trusted them. Edit They called my son and paid him for the Switch.
People off Facebook Market place have better morals and integrity than you.
I'll just sell and buy my stuff somewhere else for now...
Read moreSome things are over-priced. There are SO many older DVDs that they are running out of available space for them. Plus there is hardly ANY organization of the movies. I think if they were strictly maintained in alphabetical order (they have a general alphabetical order, but movies can just be movies around and you can tell that NO ONE checks to keep them in order. This causes customers to not want to check through the movies for something they want because even if the employees say they show in the computer that they have the movie in stock, if it's not a movie that they have TONS of copies of (which most likely it's not since it there are a ton of certain movies, they aren't popular), then it's like finding a needle in a haystack and it's not even guaranteed that the movie will be in the right alphabetical order. THEY NEED TO PAY SOMEONE TO COME IN AND ORGANIZE ALL OF THE MOVIES AND THEY NEED TO GET RID OF THE MOVIES THAT HAVE 20-30 COPIES OF ITSELF BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY THAT THEY ARE ALL GETTING BOUGHT. The older movies should have a better deal for buying multiple/in bulk, and need better service. There is NEVER anyone that walks around and up to a customer asking if they need help finding something. The geek/looking kids that are behind the counter only check people out, help get games out of locked cases, and are busy checking in new items. And if you need help, you have to wait forever for someone to come from behind the counter. HIRE MORE EMPLOYEES, MAYBE SOME WOMEN TO MAKE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE LESS "I COULD CARE LESS" feeling. Also, need better marketing because I still know tons of people from both the rural communities surrounding Fort Wayne, and also Fort Wayne residents that have NEVER heard of Mega Replay. If they want to hire someone for organization purposes, I would TOTALLY be up for...
Read moreWe recently visited this location for the very first time and we're fairly impressed. We had decided to go completely digital on all of our media so we were selling our DVD and CD collection. We brought in two totes of CDs DVDs and blu-rays and they took about 60 to 70% of our items. We received almost $250 for the items that they bought from us. (This was after I had already spent time selling DVDs items to our friends and family first. That was a long and annoying process but I did probably get a few extra dollars but not necessarily worth my time.) I honestly was not sure how much stuff mega replay would buy from us but I was greatly impressed with what they chose to take and what they chose to pay. they provide 30% more if you select in-store credit then if you just wanted cash. (I was offered a hundred and seventy in cash as opposed to $240.) now considering we were attempting to go all-digital we did not want to turn around and buy a bunch of CDs and DVDs. We do however enjoy utilizing Nintendo DS so we were able to turn around and purchase a ton of games for our kids. they had a good selection of DS and 3DS games to choose from that were age appropriate and different price points. I also like that if you purchase five items you get the 6th item free. we were able to turn around and pick 20 video games and only spent a couple extra dollars In tax. I think upon our next visit we will go ahead and select cash as I can't imagine purchasing any more DS games for a few years. if you have a lot of media and electronics to sell this is definitely a great option as you will get it done quickly without having to fight with Facebook...
