It is just Okay. I went to watch The Flash on Wednesday afternoon. Great movie, but that is not the point.
Now I know that it is a Wednesday midday but the theater was dead. I saw 3 workers in the front the entire time I was there, from entrance to exit.
When I walked into the Kiosk was not taking the gift card no matter what method I used. No employee was standing at the mobile kiosks for assistance.
I know that movie theaters do not make a lot off of their ticket and more off of their concessions but the concessions are getting ridiculous. I am not paying $~5 for a bottle of water that I can get at Walmart or Dollar Tree for $1.25. (Dollar Tree is in the same area as the theater and has a large theater candy section that helps their business) Even if I was going to buy from there (because I was considering the dibs) the line was just too long. At its peak, It nearly stretched to the door. I probably would not have got a single item before the previews. You could live with at least 2-4 people working the counter. One to handle orders, and one to grab and prepare the food. Not that difficult to manage, plus things would go a lot faster.
I pocket-carried a water bottle and two packs of Twizzlers, here is my admission of guilt.
Everything was fine in the theater until I looked and there was popcorn all over my seat. I did not order popcorn. If I can find loose popcorn without trying, that is just a show that the employee cleaning crew either did not clean or did not clean thoroughly enough. I have not expected a full deep clean of the theater but a basic amount between showtimes would be nice, even if that means you would have to extend the showtime.
In Theater 14 of 97 people, there were maybe 20. 20 seats in that showing will not be enough to keep the business going. The business needs to attract different crowds with different movies and showtimes to keep people in the theaters. They should be bringing in some ideal audience at each time of the day.
Lowering prices may be an option, and yes, your profit margins may decrease, but it will bring more people in over time which will bring them back up.
Keeping more staff on standby as well may help them adapt to the flow of customers.
Keeping a cleaner theater may help it look better as well, and give customers more assurance and confidence in the business.
As of right now, in my opinion, the only reason to go to Regal is that it slightly edges out AMC Jefferson Pointe and all the other big movie theaters are further away. Unless you are dying to see the movie, It is almost more worth it to wait until movies like The Flash hit streaming services. Since Covid, a lot of movies have been either going direct to streaming or have been on streaming the week after they leave theaters. It will always be the cheaper option in the long term. Maybe, sadly, it is time for Regal to turn in its uniform. (Side note: I did thoroughly enjoy The Flash. It started pretty weakly, but the finish was nice to see. Ezra Miller (from Perks of a Wallflower) as The Flash was an interesting choice, but it worked. And it was nice to see Ron Livingston again, as his Dad, because I haven't seen him since...

The one issue I've had lately (these past couple of months) that deducts a star for me is one certain employee Caitlin T.
I understand wanting to do a good job and being a stellar employee, all that stuff, but almost everytime I've come here, she's harassed someone or myself over swapping tickets or something to do with the tickets.
Again, I completely understand wanting to be good at your job, but she harassed me last time I was here about my tickets regarding a 10 year old and a 14 year old.
I bought 4 tickets, 2 adults and 2 children and she said 14 years old is considered "an adult," and she'd "let it slide this time," but for next time I'd have to purchase an adult ticket... for a 14 year old.
What?
That doesn't make sense but okay. Almost everytime I come here I see this woman harassing people over such small, insignificant "issues" like that.
Bro come on.
You're getting paid 13.50 an hour, you don't gotta be doing all that. It's a movie theatre. A FUN and LEISURELY activity. If everytime I come here, I low-key dread dealing with or seeing this particular individual, there's something wrong.
I don't think she should be fired or anything, but come on bruh. 13.50 an hour and you're worse than the TSA?
Relax.
Also, I don't care what anyone says, I'm not buying an adult ticket for someone that's not an adult. Can a 14 year old vote? Can a 14 year old drive? Can a 14 year old imbibe or purchase alcohol?
No?
No on all accounts?
That's weird...hmmm...I wonder why that is?
Yall have got to get this chick under control. Theatre is good though. The rest of the staff is pleasant. But this one particular individual kind of ruins the experience for me, and others involved that I've seen almost every...

I haven't been to a movie since before the pandemic, so this was my first visit in a long time. I bought my tickets online, which was good, because you no longer buy tickets at the counter. Instead, there is a self-serve kiosk. The snack stand had a huge variety of food and drink you could buy. Be prepared to give them all your money as the costs for pop and popcorn are outrageous. I have no idea about the candy, but I'm sure they are expensive, too. Once in my seat and settled in, I found the reclining chair to be very comfortable. Maybe almost too comfortable because I could have easily fallen asleep. The bathrooms were clean, and the staff at the snack counter were very kind. I'd definitely go back for another movie, but I'll make sure not to go hungry and thirsty so as not to buy the overly priced items.
This was my second visit to this theater in two weeks, and for the second time, my recliner did not work. Now, this might not be a big deal for some, but I drive past a theater (that is nice...no reclining seats) five minutes from my house and drive twenty minutes to go to this theater because of the reclining feature. You pick your seats... if the theater is full, you can't move. Otherwise, our experience was okay. We were there, and it was busy for a morning show, and the line for consession food was long. Only two people working the counter made for a long wait. The popcorn was fresh, and the theater clean. I would go back, but if I get another defective seat, I...
