Worst store and staff ever. Exchange policy is very strict and probably explains why they have no one shopping in the store. When I questioned little âmissyâ a few minutes ago (7/9/24 @ 5:10 PM), she sarcastically informed me that there were âalsoâ signs at the register after explaining the ridiculous store policy.
I will assume that she had an issue with me as a black woman questioning her because the next thing I know Mr. Police Officer or security guy walked in to exchange pleasantries with her while I was the only customer in the store. Really? lol.
I made an exchange for a pair of jeans since their clothing selection looked no better than the Clothes Mentorâs used merchandise. After ringing up the exchange, she told me I had $4 and some change left. Of course, the cheapest thing they even have to buy is little hair bands for a ridiculous price of $8. I told her to just keep the $4 and her response was that she could not show a negative in the system which meant I was forced to find something for $4 or more to apply to the total exchange amount. So, I bought a pair of football earrings that I figured I could, at least, get my moneyâs worth. Otherwise, everything else would definitely be a waste of money.
I told her I would never shop there again and that their policy probably explains why no one was shopping in the store. I also told her I would advise others not to shop there either. That hit a nerve as âKarenâ sarcastically said, âHave a nice dayâ. I replied, âYou, too. Be blessedâ as I head to Dillards đ.
Take my advice. Shop elsewhere. So not worth it.
7/9 - To Apricot Lane Store Owner who responded to my post:
I find it interesting that the video you watched could visually tell you the verbal exchange between me and your staff and you could conclude that I was rude simply because I questioned your storeâs refund policy. I have shopped Apricot as recently as last month and never received the sarcastic explanation that I was given about your policy.
Because I have not shopped there as often as I used to, I was unaware that the storeâs refund policy had changed. All your staff had to do was state that things had changed. In my opinion, her attitude was quite sarcastic and condescending, which was not necessary.
As I said yesterday, I will never return, so there is no need to say that I am not welcome to return to your store. I certainly...
Read moreAbsolutely ATROCIOUS with new ownership! Their âexchangeâ policy is absolutely ridiculous to any adult with a semi functional brain. I bought a dress from there 3 days ago - got it home, tried it on some more, and realized i didnât love it as much as I did in the store. I was aware at purchase that I couldnât have a refund but that an exchange was acceptable. I went in today to exchange my dress for something else, but I didnât find anything that I liked. I was told that they donât issue store credit - WAIT WHAT?!? A retail store that doesnât issue store credit and is completely inflexible. No other options were issued or offered. The girl who was at the counter told me âwe get new stuff everydayâ - so am I supposed to just give up my days so I can come try to find something I want to exchange - now I only have 6 days! This is the most ludicrous and ridiculous policy I have ever experienced! The clothes under new ownership arenât nearly as cute as they used to be. Per the girls at the counter, Iâm just stuck w my dress if I canât find anything I want in 6 days. ZERO FLEXIBILITY and ZERO STORE CREDIT available.
DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. And remember, you canât change your mind about the clothes after 10 days.
Go support small business elsewhere. No solution was ever offered to help...
Read moreI just randomly went by this store when out visiting family and it is so cute! I loved so many pieces. The best part is that they have a great sale area. They have a rack where everything is $15. Wow! I was able to get some staples and a New Year's Eve dress. The woman who helped us was so kind and attentive. She really helped us find the...
