The main consensus from the table was that the food was good, but the service was awful.

We were a party of 10 and were there from 12-3. Our server was Dekendrickson. We felt that he was inattentive and too focused on upselling rather than making sure the dining process was executed in a timely manner.

Every order placed was followed up with the questions of “would you like to add a shot of Bailey’s to your coffee?” “Would you like to start with a caesar or house salad?” “Do you want the garlic bread with your salad?”

While I understand upselling is a very common and encouraged practice in the restaurant industry, this was just tacky and borderline predatory.

One of our party ordered pretzel bites as an appetizer for the table and rather than clarifying with us on the size of the appetizer, we were brought 3 orders. We only wanted one. If you think that one order is not enough for a table, then you should communicated this to your guests rather than taking it upon yourself to put in 3 orders.

At the end of the day, the server is there to make money, but it their job to provide an experience. All we experienced were dollar signs in his eyes and behind his words.

Everything took a long time to reach our table and Dekendrickson was no where to be found and lacked any communication on there possibly being any delay in ticket times. (The restaurant was not busy, so I fail to believe the kitchen was the delay rather than the sever not knowing proper timing for ringing in orders).

This is not a poor review to Cityworks but to the server. I hope that management will communicate this to him so that he is aware that he has improvements to make.

I was asked not to say anything by the head of the party while there, but as a restaurant manager myself, I cannot let this go by unacknowledged as this is the kind if service that would keep me from returning, no matter how...

A Party of three of us had dinner at City -Works Forth Worth today, Aug 13th, 2022. Arguably, one of the best Restaurant I’ve dined in since post COVID. What an amazing dining experience we all had. My Husband and mother-in Law both had bacon cheese burgers with fries. I had the grilled salmon served with an array of vegetables and herbs on a butcher block style server. We all agreed the food was simply delicious, satisfying to the palette and the stomach. Fresh, tasty, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. As usual, I took a couple of my husbands fries but these were not greasy and still hot from the stove with a light sprinkle of herbs on the skin. To Die For!!! I had to place an order for me. I would be remiss if I did it mention our waiter Lya. Personable, patient, professional, kind and good at her job. She was never rude to my eighty five year old mother in-law trying to decide what sides she wanted with her meal. Instead she took the time to go item by item with her to choose what she really wanted. She gets a plus 5 review for that alone. She was canvassing her area to ensure that her customers were not spending value time waiting or searching for her. She was on point . We loved the service from Lya. Many Many Thanks for the exceptional experience. Finally, I’d like to acknowledge the On-Duty Manager who stopped by our table to see if our dining needs were being met. What a pleasant experience. If you want to have a great dining experience choose City Works, they...

It was date night 🌙 for me and my wife. We chose City Works based on a review the we read. It is a beautiful restaurant and the atmosphere is very pleasing. For us it turned out to be a not so terrific night despite the how nice the restaurant seems to be. Our server was very friendly although slow and not so attentive. He asked if we had been there before, to which we responded, " no this is our first time. If left the table and came back with some bread that based on his comment was complimentary to welcome us as first time customers. Imagine our surprise when we saw a charge for it when we received our check. There was a period that seemed like forever between bringing us the bread and taking our order. We placed our whole order at that time because we did not know how long it would be before he came back. The appetizer was pretty good, but the burgers 🍔 that we ordered needed a little help. They were not bad, but did not taste as good as they looked. The drinks were very good. I do not plan on returning any time soon. I will say this, our server waited on the couple next to us and for them the service was excellent. They left him a very generous tip. He was not horrible. It's just that our experience was not as good as theirs. If you are thinking about going, I'd say go. Your experience may...

Went for my nieces bday dinner. Nice atmosphere, we were excited about trying a new place! That stopped when we checked in for our 6pm reservation. We were asked and I quote, " you will be leaving here at 8pm tonight, correct?" That was a surprise and were stomped at the question. She repeated herself and explained they have a reservation at 8pm so wanted to be sure we were not staying. Well now we are not after at all. Wait staff then tells us what to not order. If I ordered the chicken it may not be cooked all the way, it depends on the chef. He says, "I am being honest!" .ok so I didn't order the chicken and asked if the salmon would be safe. He says oh yeah. Then my niece orders ahi tuna, again the waiter ask, are you sure you want to order that? It can be made raw too. She ordered it anyway. This gus says, I am just being honest" After all that we were unable to get water refills and made a table visit twice while there for an hour. I asked multiple times for drink refills even asking different waiters. Well we waited for the water that finally made it after 15mins. The food was the only thing that was good. Will not be back for the price of a 4oz salmon, 23 dollars. I would rather have msio salmon from cheesecake. This place was not worth it at all. Maybe you will have better luck. Good luck.

I visited City Works for the first time on 8-8-2025 and I must say it did not disappoint at all! As I entered the door I was greeted by Aljah the Hostess by a beautiful smile and vibrant great personality ! Our server Emily was a Rockstar! She made excellent recommendations, was very knowledgeable and personable! We had the delicious Tomato Basil soup, Caesar Salad, Smoked Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and broccolini, churros with caramel sauce and peanut butter cheese cake that tasted just like a snickers! All of the food was delicious! The manager AJ was really nice and kind! We were also assisted by Romeo and Terrell who were both awesome! We enjoyed our visit so much that we went back the next day for breakfast! The Elote corn ribs were phenomenal as well as the BLTE and Chicken Biscuit! We are planning on making City Works our regular spot and I look forward to trying all the items on the menu! AJ you have built a great staff and I look forward to eating and chatting with you all in the near future! Blessing to All!

We come to City Works often and we love it. The drink/food quality or your service experience can definitely depend on who is working/bartending, but we have never been disappointed with our experience (with the exception of a few iffy drinks here and there). It’s always very easy to get a reservation and they have a large beer selection. It’s a great spot to stop while you’re out and about in Clearfork, or if you want dinner prior to seeing a movie at the AMC nearby. It seems like prices have increased a little bit since we started coming here a few years ago, but that’s the case pretty much everywhere. We look forward to coming here for a laid back date night. They have a great rewards program that gets you frequent discounts. Order the rigatoni - it’s amazing!
