Let me start by saying, I am the ultimate dessert connoisseur, but by no means do I have a dire love for macroons; that is, until I stumbled upon Joy. I was so adamant in not ever wanting to step foot inside this joint, for countless reasons, but mainly because they are SO expensive. $50 for two dozens! Normally, I wouldn't mind spending money on food, but $50 for a bite size product is a bit outrageous, even for me. I was heaved by having to forcefully go in. Regrets? Not exactly. But thanks to my dear friend, I now have another expensive obsession to add to my list and put a dent in my wallet lol. By far the BEST macaroons I've ever had, and for someone that's not even a fan of this french delicacy, speaks volume. We got every single flavor. 15 to be exact. There's a total of 14 flavors in stock, and each month, they rotate the 15th macaron with the "flavor of the month." The macarons are so light and extremely airy, which is a hard art to master, but well accomplished here. When you take bite, the macaroon flattens, releasing the air. This is key to their freshness. The cream in the center is what hits the spot. Super light, fluffy, and marshmallowy. All the flavors were nothing short of amazing, but the coconut gets the gold metal. The sales rep, Ashley, was a sweetheart, very patient with us, and super engaging with some friendly banter. The decor was one to take notice of, with a simplistic but super sleek theme of a geometric design. The packaging was also noteworthy and very well done. Look out Tiffs Treats. There's new competition in town that has my heart, but most importantly, my sweet...

Joy Macarons in the Shops at Clearfork in Fort Worth, Texas, is a delightful spot that never fails to impress. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a vibrant display of beautiful, colorful macarons that instantly lift your spirits. They serve both macarons and ice cream, making it tough to choose between the two. Thankfully, they offer creative options like ice cream with a macaron on the side and my personal favorite, macaron ice cream sandwiches.

The experience here is always pleasant, with friendly staff who often recognize me and start my order right away, thanks to my many visits. The atmosphere is inviting and perfect for a sweet treat.

One charming feature is the cutest bubble windows and a bubbled door entrance, which adds a whimsical touch to the place. Just a heads-up: pay attention to where the handle is, as I've seen several people wonder how to get in!

However, there’s one aspect that might be a bit off-putting – the payment terminal almost forces a tip. I’m a generous tipper, but I don’t appreciate feeling pressured into tipping. It might just be a personal pet peeve, but it’s something to be aware of.

Additionally, dine-in seating is extremely limited. There are only about six seats inside, and a few tables outside. While outdoor seating can be nice, the Texas heat can be a real challenge.

Despite these minor issues, the delicious treats more than make up for it. If you’re in the area, definitely stop by and enjoy the fantastic macarons and ice cream at Joy Macarons. Highly...

Update 12/1: Usually a go-to for me when I’m in Clearfork, but the last couple of times I’ve been (today included), the macarons have been either extremely dry and it cracks everywhere (today it was the gingerbread flavor) or it’s way too hard to chew, almost like taffy (today was the pistachio flavor). I’ve never experienced JOY to be this inconsistent and it’s been pretty disappointing. Flavors are still on point and service is always wonderful, but I am hoping the quality of the macarons get back to how it was soon.

Once in a while I get a sweet tooth and I’ll stop by JOY for some macarons šŸ˜‹! JOY is one of the few places that make it RIGHT. They are crisp on the outside but get chewy as you bite into them, with a light but firm cream in the middle. My personal favorites are the Salted Caramel or the Lavender if you like soft floral tones. I got to try their Butter Beer macaron to celebrate the anniversary of Harry Potter and it...
