just saying you better have cameras outside your house, especially pointing to where the meter is at. I paid my bill late (I had the money I just tend to do everything late) bad adulting, but there's no manual for this. so I called this morning (after throwing up all night/morning with a electric fan) and asked to restore it and the kind lady said they'll be by. my ac was working so I thought I could flush the toilet now and jump in a cold shower but nothing would come on. it's now 4pm and I called asking if my water was going to be turned on today and the lady said they already stopped by and that the guy saw it was already on at 11am this morning. but she'll send someone out for $25 to relook.. after I got off the phone I called my dad because something was sitting right with me. My dad told me to check my cameras and sure enough once I did, I could tell they were lying or the guy was at least. I then recalled and told them I have cameras outside my house and no one came at 11 also I was sending a picture to my dad of the water meter that hasn't been touched! Still has grass from last summer on it, couldn't even see that it said "water" on it. When I told her about my cameras she acted like my camera wouldn't have caught him if he pulled up! Like she's my cameras then said the guy didn't leave a note because it was already on so that's why no one came on my porch but even the porch came reaches the meter, but I was patient and she talked with the supervisor and they took off the $25 charge. What a shame, you had one job and obviously can't do it right. I wondered why they had such a low rating on here but now I know why. What a scam. Better have your cameras pointing at your meter at all times. that'll show me to pay my bills at the right time
It's funny cause the last pic shows that my camera would've caught him at my house!!
Added a pic of the meter CLEANED...
Read moreIf I could have picked zero stars I would have. I had a leak inside my wall due to the A/C unit over a week ago and had to find other means of housing due to my house flooding. There had to be an emergency water shut off FOR DAYS!!! I have 2 daughters who require the water to be working due to medical conditions. I even offered to pay and they declined to collect the payment. God forbid you go through a hard time. They will leave you in over 100 degree weather with no water. The whole conversation was stagnant nor was there any concern for the situation. The customer service rep decided she would turn me away about making a payment saying they don’t do payment arrangements there. That was until I requested to speak to a supervisor or manager. That’s when she said she would transfer me but however she came back stating they wanted to make an offer. She told me the supervisor first asked me how much I can pay and put me on hold for another few minutes. When she came back she said they were not going to accept me being literally a couple dollars short that I offered to pay in 4 days. They do not make accommodations for children with disabilities and they also will keep the money meter running while your water is off and I voluntarily shut that water off myself. They made it seem like it was cut off due to non payment when I have proof for the work order for a date that was before the payment was due. I am unhappy with the customer service and quite frankly, I pray they don’t go through anything where they need a hand. I really regret moving...
Read moreOn 10/02/2019 City of Fort Worth water department sent private contractor to install water meter Smart Point in Park Glen neighborhood 76137. After installation, my water meter number suddenly jumped. Water usage are from zero to 127,309 gallons. Technician didn't take a picture before starting the job. Plumber checked no leaks. It is a vacant house, no usage. I locked all exterior faucets and turned off all interior shut off valves.
On 10/16/2019 I received a $838.19 large bill for 09/16/2019-10/02/2019 two weeks only. After discussing with city, assistant director agreed to reduce half bill only by Texas Fort Worth city code Chapter 35: Water and Sewer, section 35-10 ...as registered on the customer meter to the property owners, tenants... City can adjust up to 50% only.
On 01/31/2020 I had to pay $523 to avoid a lien on my house.
The significance of this matter is not just a bill, but a potential harm to many customers. We were lucky that the house has been vacant (so we are confident of no usage) and the error is huge (127,309 gallons), if it would or had happened to a house where someone does live in, it would be real difficult to argue if the water really has been consumed or not. Max bill $60,000 in USA can push homeowners to foreclose their properties.
It is really unfair. How horrible city code Chapter 35 of Texas...
