Here is the truth about TCU, the faculty are really nice, I feel like the professor really care especially when students are dedicated to their education. Education is a 3.5/5. It’s the environment that’s terrible. The student population is homogenous.
Growing up in a diverse school system. TCU was a huge cultural shock. I went to frog camp and all I saw were people wearing Lululemon and people raving over Taylor Swift. If you didn’t own these things, or liked what they liked you kinda got the side eye. This was me. I was ignored from my peers the entire camp.
Now rushing, I rushed because I thought it be a fun experience especially it’s my first time coming to a D1 school. I’ve never seen much discrimination. They smiled and sounded kind but I was always given the up and down look and before pref I dropped because of this reason.
The food on campus isn't hygienic here. The staff are rude, get upset when there were 2 people line, always forget people's order. I saw a staff member drop someone’s food on the ground and still served the food. I reported this to TCU numerous of times about their hygiene and the staff’s behavior but this never got resolved.
Warning if you’re not rich, don’t own Lululemon, not in a sorority, not white, don’t look white, don’t act white. You will not have a great time until your 2nd or 3rd year. This university was such a huge let down and so much discriminating.
For the amount of money you put in this was not worth it at all. The club fairs that are offered is typically more favored towards business and stem majors. If you want to go to diverse don’t come here, don’t trust when they say they have “diversity” that just means they accept...
Read moreCharging tuition higher than most Ivy League schools for an average university is ridiculous. Where is all this money going? It seems to be benefiting only the senior staff, as everyone else is paid ridiculously low wages to operate the school. Additionally, they spend over $60 million on the football program, claiming $70 million in revenue, which includes a large donation pool. While football is important to some, does it really need such high production costs for a team that has one good year out of five? Competing with UT is unrealistic. So, why pay such high tuition for an average school? And why are the employees paid so poorly?
P.S. Texas Christian University (TCU) is ranked #98 in the 2024 edition of Best National Universities by U.S. News & World Report. Yep…
P.S.S. Approximate salaries: President $2.8M Chancellor $1M Football Coach $7.5M Average Prof $157K And don’t take this “we are competitive with our piers” - that’s crap. You should be asking are you competitive with MY education and what I can...
Read moreProgressive is the one word I would use to describe this amazing place. Yes, Christian is its middle name, but trust me, it's not a name they live by. They have tons of activities for the LGBTQ+ Community!! I know that as time goes on, this university will lean more and more left as time permits. And who knows, maybe they will drop that middle name. . . TEXAS...
