Southern Arizona Arts Guild Gallery — Attraction in Four Corners States

I was on my dream date. I was with a woman who makes it so that no matter where we go or what we do, I’m going to be completely twitterpated (We are both old enough to get references to Disney’s Bambi) by the end. On this occasion, we had some time to spend before dinner, so we took a walk around the shops near the restaurant. There were all the usual places - jewelry stores, fashionable clothing, restaurants, etc... Out of all that, the place that caught my eye was the Southern Arizona Arts Guild. The window showed a number of paintings, prints and sculptures with a south western influence. “Do you want to go in?” asked the woman that I would follow anywhere. We went in and were greeted by a jovial man who offered to give us the spiel on the place. They feature local artists in all media. If these works are any example, Tucson has as much or more to offer the arts as Seattle. The variety of styles and media was impressive. Most of the pieces had southwestern themes, but each artist had a unique take. I found a number of pieces that I would be happy to put up in my home. I was blessed enough to be able to attend all of the community fest art days from 2023-2024. They're such sweet people and will always have open arms. I have so much fun every time I go and do art with everyone. They always greet me with a smile and a happy word. I can't wait for the 2024-2025 season of the community art fest! Love this store! It has so many artists and such affordable art! Well lit, well stocked, excellent quality, contemporary and so unique. (not old style stuff). Artists all work in there and are fun to talk to. They have great stories. No kidding best prices in town on the best work. It is my gift go to store.
