Served by condescending older lady (she had larger gauge tribal earrings which were cool though👍). She rudely told my girlfriend "how to order coffee" when in fact this lady simply failed to listen and my gf had to clarify a couple times. Instead of simply mirroring back the same sweetness my gf was conveying to her (in spite of this lady's incompetence in my opinion) by simply saying, "Oh I misheard you" this lady blamed my gf for "not ordering coffee correctly" ?🤔 In the lady's defence, she's probably overworked and needs to be given a day off, but still, this ruined my experience, hence the 1 star. My gf just brushed it off and doesn't even know I'm writing this review, but I'm sick of going to places where I'm overpaying already in the hopes to give my gf a good experience, getting horrendous customer service and just not saying anything, as I'm sure so many do, and then these businesses get conflated google star ratings that isn't in congruence with their overall performance. With all that said, in fairness, the coffee was still good from what my gf told me so I gave that a 4 star on the sub category, plus they had oat milk which was a win. The place gets pretty packed (because it's over seated for the square footage, not allowing for a comfortable waiting experience for those standing, due to close proximity to those seated, making you feel like you're standing over people sitting down, which is uncomfortable for all parties.) If you go around lunch, expect to take it to go or find seating outside in the courtyard. (This is why I gave 3 stars for atmosphere...
Read moreI was looking forward to stopping on for days before my visit. With the great reviews and such i was hopeful. This morning I woke up early and headed over with my son to pick up some drinks before our road trip home. The place was busy for a Tuesday and again I was hopeful. The woman at the counter seemed a bit grumpy and I overwhelmed. I was pleased to see cold brew and asked if the offered hwc. To which the replay was we’re out. Cool, no biggie. She advised they half half and half so I asked for a splash and some vanilla. They don’t offer blended drinks and my son’s not a fan of coffee so he chose hot chocolate. I also ordered a raspberry lemon muffin. There were no open tables so we waited nearby. Once our drinks were ready the girl pointed and said cream is over there. My lid was laid on the counter. Ok sweet I guess. I poured a little cream and off we went. My sons got chocolate was more whip cream than drink, but he said it was good. My muffin was my favorite part. It was large, sweet but not so very. Baked well. My cold brew while no acidity which is awesome the vanilla was nearly nonexistent. I poured the half and half myself so I obviously controlled that part. I wish I lived closer to try again, but not sure when I’ll be back in the area. Unfortunately I left bummed and unwelcome. The vibe itself is nice outside. Beautiful patio and walkable space nearby. The inside is a bit small, but does offer...
Read moreI think this is an excellent coffee shop and I have had several positive experiences here with my husband, friends, and business partners. Unfortunately, I recently ordered an iced coffee and to my surprise there was a small insect in my drink. One of the staff members I spoke to dismissed it and joked about the bug as if it was a normal thing. Now, I’ve worked in the restaurant industry as a manager, so that kind of behavior (belittling a customer) is unacceptable.
I can tell that they are a flamboyant staff, but there is still a level of professionalism that needs to be upheld. I received a new drink, this time I found a little coffee with my large cup of ice. I don’t understand why this occurred, the coffee I ordered should have been fixed properly. I am not one to complain but I love Ren Coffeehouse and would hope that management receives this feedback in order to improve their employee’s customer...
