there for the 4th concert with the frankfort brass band. beautiful night, lovely venue, friendly folks, not too crowded. nice change from usual rock/pop concerts, not that there's anything wrong with pop/rock but it was nice to hear a french horn, coronet, and 2 clarinets. the frankfort brass band sounded great. the night was so beautiful, perfect light and weather.
update #1 went to dancing queen abba tribute concert. another great night. perfect weather and light. big big enthusiastic crowd. plenty of teenage girls dancing and singing along to the hits. felt like I was at a wedding! the band was tight, the two girls sang like angels and engaged with the crowd. great night. nb looking forward to the tom petty tribute band petty kings sunday 7-25-21.
update #2 went to petty kings show last night. another great night. again the weather was perfect, warm with breezy clouds and that thick golden light of the lingering summer sunset. big crowd, families, friends, kids, teens, seniors but without that crushing feeling you can get in bigger towns and up in the city. the band was tight, covering all of petty's hits and a few other r+r classics. ez parking and traffic in and out. this is a fun event folks, live music in a quaint charming small town square. nb next up "good clean fun", contemporary pop rock sunday 8-1-21. forecast says...

I was skeptical that such a big name would play a fest or free concert. By the end of the night I could not not have been more pleased.
