on January 23rd 2019 while skiing at the rock with my annual pass. I took a jump and found both of my skis came off as I landed and crashed. did not know it but my phone had popped out of my pocket. Meanwhile many people skied passed me and the ski patrol skied past as well. No one stopped to render me service or stop at the top of the hill and try to divert people around me to make sure that I didn't get hurt or no one got hurt at all. They ignored me. I got my skis back on I got out of the way and went down the hill. As I was starting to go up the lift I realized that my phone was missing I let the guy next to me now I don't know his name but he looks like Rob Schneider and he used his walkie-talkie to contact the groomer with hand signals and walkie-talkie we got the groomer to locate the phone but instead of taking the phone down the hill to the lift where someone could bring it up to me he went back to grooming the hill when I got to the top of the hill I asked the ski patrol guy that I don't know what his name is he has mustache and a beard if I could ski down and get the phone from the groomer. He said I could not and I had to wait for Marcus the other ski patrol guide to come up. Marcus had some kind of a bad night or something I don't know he called me a f* a* and refused to go down to get the phone instead of going down to get the phone he called The Lodge to file a complaint against me with Nicole who's the manager down there.I repeatedly asked them if I could just get my phone I just wanted to ski down get the phone and leave the place but none of them would go down and get the phone. The guy was starting to make me angry and I told him I just wanted my phone and I want to leave. After he called me some profane things I told him with a warning that I was litigious person that I just want to get my phone and leave and why are you harassing me? He said Im.doing you a favor. Again I ask the bearded guy to get the phone and he said no Marcus is handling this. Marcus decided that I was being belligerent and called the Franklin Police department. Yeah you believe it or not over a phone a $500 phone but a phone none the less. Marcus then skied away and for some reason don't ask me why the bearded guy went down and got the phone from the groomer in and brought it back up to me. Meanwhile Marcus was on the phone with the Franklin Police department. Turned into a real fiasco I will never go back to the Rock again they threaten you with a revocation of your pass whenever they feel like it and give you stupid instructions. We are there to enjoy ourselves and have a good time I will not be renewing my pass my son will not be renewing his pass and three other people that I know will not be renewing their passes either so what could have been a lot of enjoyment has turned into something horrible.I'm still editing this so there are going to be mistakes in it but I want to get it posted as soon as I could to let people know I would stay away from the rock if I were you there's more headaches and more problems than anything else with the staff and that it's just not worth it. Devils Head is a much much much better skiing experience or Cascade. Alpine valley is excellent too but the Rock I will never ski there again. You'd be a fool to ski there. it's obvious they did not want to give me the phone because they wanted to call the police and file a phony police report against me. They kept the phone there so I would stay there until the police could get there. As I told you if Marcus is still working for you I WILL NEVER COME TO SPEND ANY MONEY AT THE ROCK EVER AGAIN. You have Wilmot. Closer to Illinois border.
Alpine Valley again closer and much better skiing experience.
Lake Geneva skiing.
Devils Head which is the best in Wisconsin.
Tyrol Basin near Madison
Should I keep going?I have skied all of these places and never been hassled like I'm being at your place...
Read moreWe had our wedding here on 10/16/21 and had a bad experience Our bartenders/event staff were not dressed for an event and also spent quite a bit of time on their phones. The one guy was wearing a hoodie and athletic shorts and sat on the back of the bar chatting with the bartenders for a long time. The tables were set up so close together it was really hard for people to sit comfortably. We had one table of my husband's family that came from out of state that could not sit at all due to how crammed it was. They had to stand and eat with their young children. That is unacceptable. We were told there would be people monitoring and keeping people from the haunted house on the complex out but that was not the case. People were wandering in and out all night using the bathroom, sitting by the fire pit, standing in front of the venue, taking beer off tables and leaving, etc. We were also told that signs would be put up leading people to the venue as the complex can be kind of confusing, but there were no signs. Our caterer was late because they couldn't find it and I had several guests tell me they had a hard time as well. Andrea, the event coordinator, was giving tours while we were setting up for our wedding and then was not there for our event. She also did not have certain things set up the way we expected. We had a few different meetings but then she still sent me the wrong floor plan that I had to correct. She doesn't really seem to have it together. When I brought these things to their attention after our wedding, their responses were pretty condescending and they took no responsibility. They offered a gift card to go skiing. Using this venue is the only regret I have about my wedding day and it just sucks that it was the thing we spent the most money on. The venue is gorgeous but their service needs major...
Read moreWent to two Milwaukee Milkmen games. They are a first year team and so they are struggling a bit, but they will figure it out. The stadium is very nice. LOTS of bathrooms. The field is astro-turff, which is weird. Food prices are reasonable for a baseball park. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is not much shade for a day game and they need to extend the protective netting to the end of the dugout like other parks. Also, the lines for the concession stand (singular) will take you 3 innings, so get a beer or two at the bar (you have to cut through the concession line to get there) and then get in the concession line. (minus one star) The young people working the concessions did a fantastic job working at an insane pace to keep everyone happy. Please compliment them. A suggestion would be to have a Beer/soda/hot dog only truck out in the bleacher area for the seats that include a drink and dog with the ticket to alleviate some of the concession traffic. The ice cream truck beyond the outfield seating was closed on a hot Sunday game. They would have made a killing. We went to see a player we hosted 6 years ago when he played for the Timber Rattlers in Appleton who is now playing for the Sioux City Explorers and will be back again in Aug. to see another indy player (Canaries) we hosted with the T-Rats as they come through. I think this will be a draw for the Milkmen since past host families often stay in contact with the players they hosted even after they leave the affiliated systems. Away players stay at the Four Points hotel if you are traveling in to see one of your boys from years past. Many nice hotels close by. Good luck Milkmen,...
