Kogetsu-Do Confectionery — Attraction in Fresno

This place is the best place to get a snow cone hands down! They only have two flavors but they make the syrup themselves and have been since the business first started selling snow cones, which was probably when they opened in the 1920s.

They are a locally owned business and have been In the same spot since the 1920s and this will be the last generation who will keep the store alive.

The snow cones cubone in 3 sizes and the large is big enough to share. I tried to eat one myself and couldn't do it. The flavors are strawberry and lemon. They are so good!

This place also has hand made mochi ice cream and mochi without icecream. They have been making mochi at this location from the beginning.

Kogetsu-Do has been very popular since an article written about the store's legacy. Drove from out of town only to get their one last mochi. My family and I drove around Fresno to check out the city, then drove home to enjoy the treat (green tea mochi with red bean filling). It was definitely worth it. CASH ONLY. This was my first time and I ordered 4 different items. These Japanese confectionary masterpieces all had different fillings, and were wrapped in a rice flour. I would have added a picture of the pancake type sandwich with a cinnamon apple filling but we ate it soon after our first taste.
