OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Was visiting from LA and my aunt wanted to try this place. Got here early and got one of everything! A bit disappointed that they didnt have plain mochi (i.e. rainbow dango, kinako mochi). STOREFRONT: Small, currently require guests to wear masks. ORDERED: Mochi with mung bean, mochi with red bean, mochi wihth fruit filling (cinnamon apple, apricot, peach). The fruit filling is jam-like and a bit sweet. SERVICE: Service was good, and they were friendly.

EVERYTHING is yummy and fresh! We like all of the fruit filled mochi. You will enjoy the many varieties of sweet bean mochi as well. No bills larger than $20 accepted and it's easy to spend much more than that especially if you want to save some for another day. It's worth every penny. The leftovers keeps very well in the fridge in the original box or a sealed container.

If you want to taste some Oriental Fresno history then I encourage you to go try some amazing Japanese goodies here. We ordered several different items and we loved everything we tried. You can taste the love, care, tradition and history in each bite. It's a very small place, they do sell out of things pretty fast and they do require that customers mask up.

This place is the best place to get a snow cone hands down! They only have two flavors but they make the syrup themselves and have been since the business first started selling snow cones, which was probably when they opened in the 1920s.

They are a locally owned business and have been In the same spot since the 1920s and this will be the last generation who will keep the store alive.

The snow cones cubone in 3 sizes and the large is big enough to share. I tried to eat one myself and couldn't do it. The flavors are strawberry and lemon. They are so good!

This place also has hand made mochi ice cream and mochi without icecream. They have been making mochi at this location from the beginning.

I highly recommend this place. Just be aware that they stop selling the snow cones in October and don't start...

Kogetsu-Do has been very popular since an article written about the store's legacy. Drove from out of town only to get their one last mochi. My family and I drove around Fresno to check out the city, then drove home to enjoy the treat (green tea mochi with red bean filling). It was definitely worth it. They highly recommend placing pre-orders, especially since their growing popularity have emptied their wonderful treats hours before closing hours. Also, they are cash only, and you must...

CASH ONLY. This was my first time and I ordered 4 different items. These Japanese confectionary masterpieces all had different fillings, and were wrapped in a rice flour. I would have added a picture of the pancake type sandwich with a cinnamon apple filling but we ate it soon after our first taste. This store has been around for over 100yrs and has been family owned for generations. Your order will be placed in a paper bag for take-out. There are no eating areas inside or...
