La Elegante Taqueria — Restaurant in Fresno

Its in a really bad neighborhood and they don't have their own parking lot. As i parked my real nice vehicle on the street I was wondering if it was going to be safe while I was inside

They have bars on the windows and doors during business hours. This restaurant looks more like a prison from the outside. At first I thought it was closed, it was a Saturday at noon time. I was going to call to see if they were open. While I was looking for their phone number, somebody came out.

I went in the restaurant and their was no empty tables but they had counter seats open. So I sat down at one of the seats and tried to make eye contact. They walked right by me and behind me and didnt once looked my way. I was totally ignored by the staff. There was no missing me either because I was right in front of them. As others came in after me, they were helped and acknowledged, but nothing my way. So I walked out. They made me feel like race had something to do with it.

The Bottom line... La Elegante turned into La Disappointment for me and I won't go...

I waited a total of 20 minutes before anybody ever even acknowledged me standing by the register. Never did anyone say hello, or I’ll be with you in a moment. A couple of times workers did look my My Way, but never said a word. I didn’t know if I should wait at the counter or wait at the register. So after seeing others come in after me and sit at the counter I did too. They were served before me too. Once I did order, it came very Quickly. A server did bring my Coke and laid it on the counter far away from me, but I assumed it was mine. I ordered a birria Taco and grabbed my on jalapeños from the bucket on the counter because no worker offered but I saw someone else do it first. Ordered menudo and tacos for my husband and I and I don't know how they messed up the order they brought one bowl of menudo out with the fixings and some corn tortillas that were fried like for tacos and and empty bowl and 1 taco like we're going to split the bowl🤣and 1 taco. The girl asked my husband if he's just gonna eat a taco. We're like no we ordered 2 bowls of menudo and 2 tacos and drinks. I found a blond hair in my menudo. Yes there was a girl with highlights in her hair.and a big in my ice. I requested more ice for my drink so it was a bug frozen in my ice .
