I have never ate here before it’s a grocery store fish market / restaurant and I was told to give it a try as I have been told it’s good food. So I went and we ordered some food and the young kid gave us our cups for soda and proceeded to the soda machine, there was no ice and the machine was rather dirty and I am not talking like splashes of soda on the machine that hadn’t been wiped down I am talking like dirt and dust and grime and I can’t imagine if the nozzles under the soda spouts are taken off and cleaned and the young kid said he would go get some then continued doing what he was doing. So we sat down and waited for our food and ice. The table was like grimy like it doesn’t get washed probably it jad dirt and stuck on food. The kid behind the counter was still pouring sauce into little to go containers and that’s when we noticed there was so another young female employee to the right of us to the store side sweeping the carpets towards us there was so much dirt I didn’t understand how people are eating right here and you are sweeping at that moment let alone the amount of dirt. So the kid goes and gets 3 of these 5 gallon or so buckets and walks towards the grocery fish market and comes back with them full of ice and these buckets were do dirty I couldn’t understand why they were not cleaned if they were using them for ice. Not too much time passes id say like within the next 10 minutes our food was ready and we ordered two plates one combo and one fish and chips. We got separate bags and my bag wa a brown paler bag covered in grease and sticky rice on the top of the bag and all down one side. I didn’t order rice so that was confusing. We started eating and I thought the fish was pretty good the fries no so much tasted like terrible frying oil or something and the combo was so gross and he spit the food into his napkin and closed his box...
Read moreI went because some people recommended it and quite honestly upon getting their the first thing I saw when I told the staff to open up the gills on the fish to see if they were red and fresh they were Gray or white which was a sign of them being completely old not only that I wouldn't recommend this place to get fresh fish if they do have fresh fish it's not daily the store is nicely kept and clean but when it comes to the staff cutting up the fish they are completely unexperienced they don't know how to handle the fish they don't know how to treat the fish when cutting it quite frankly they just messed up my order and I had to pay for it just because I had already chose the fish and told them what I wanted by the time I realized that they were cutting it all wrong and everything it was already too late they had already packaged it so I paid for it but I wasn't satisfied at all I will never go there at all again not only that while waiting for them to cut my fish and I was walking around the store I had the staff following me around like if I wasn't going to buy anything and if I was going to steal something I honestly got racially profiled right up until the point that I got to the cashier and I paid for over $400 worth of stuff made me and my family feel uncomfortable I'm not going to be recommending this business to anybody and I will never be returning to this business again made me feel uncomfortable therefore I won't recommend this business to anybody I need to learn how to treat people better and with more respect because the way they treated me and my family they acted like we were criminals and it's not like we were dressed like criminals or something like that no it was just because of the color of our skin I guess they're not too...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Central Fish Company in Fresno, and it was truly an exceptional experience. This family-owned establishment has been a staple in the community since 1950, and it's easy to see why. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels like a blend of a traditional Japanese market and a cozy seafood restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive, with staff who were eager to help and guide me through the menu. I ordered the Fish & Chips, which was absolutely delicious, with a crispy exterior and moist interior that was clearly made with fresh ingredients. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of food you receive. One of the standout features of Central Fish Company is its commitment to freshness and quality. The seafood is always top-notch, and you can tell that they take pride in sourcing the best ingredients. Whether you're in the mood for traditional dishes like Salmon Poke or something more casual like Shrimp Tempura, everything is made with care and attention to detail. Overall, Central Fish Company is a gem in the Fresno dining scene, offering a delightful blend of Japanese and seafood cuisine. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this restaurant is a must-visit destination for anyone craving authentic and delicious seafood. The combination of great food, friendly service, and a unique atmosphere makes it a truly...
