Western Dental & Orthodontics — Attraction in Fresno

Joey (the person who took the x-rays was nice and tried answering any questions I had to the best of his ability) But, this place other than him was a joke. My appointment was at 11:30 and there wasn't hardly anyonyone in the waiting room and not too many people in the chairs. They had me waiting in a room for the dentist for over an hour. And, he acted like he was new and and honestly gave me a very uncomfortable feeling. After he left the room they had me sitting there for another half hour for nothing. I asked can I leave and he didn't know if I was done or not and he's the dentist? Come on. I didn't get out of there till 10 min till 2 PM. 2 1/2 for x-rays and they didn't even do any work. The only reason I sent to this one is it's only about a 5 min drive from my house. I would rather drive the distance and get good service than to feel hella uncomfortable and waste my time. Go somewhere else if you want to have a good experience with people who know what their doing and who wouldn't waste your time. Oh, wow, almost forgot this, their garbage bins are right outside their door practically and their was one of their bags with old exam gloves and who knows what else open in the driveway. As soon as I walked in I told the receptionist and she said someone probably dug it out and she'll let someone know now. After that 2 1/2 hours in there it was still laying in the same spot. That might be a little petty to some but I wouldn't want kids or pets being able to get into medical waste. That was irresponsible of them that after they were told not to have picked it up. Rant over. Cannot wait to go back to a dentist that I trust and who cares about their patients enough to respect that their time is just as...

Had another appointment today on January 21,2020 ....another great experience with Dr. Kaul and dental assistant Lupe....thank you to the great staff at Western Dental on Shaw Ave. in Fresno !

Today's posting on December 9, 2019 I had another appointment today for a filling...Dr. Kaul's assistant Lupe is awesome and has a way of making you feel calm and relaxed during procedure....Dr. Kaul did a great job...no pain ...I am happy...Eliana was fantastic with her financial assistance and taking care of all my billing needs..she is very professional and knowledgeable.....I love the staff at Western Dental in Fresno on west shaw ave.

Today on Oct. 16 th, 2019.....I had my first appointment at Western Dental...I was so pleased and impressed with the excellent customer/patient service I received...from the receptionist , to my X-ray tech. I think his name was Joey or Tony...I am not sure but he was a nice and attentive Latino young man...then Laura and Jessica the back office dental techs who took care of making my mouth impressions very nice girls, and the financial assistant I think her name begins with the letter 'M' ,she wore eye glasses ...she was outstanding and very knowledgable, and so compassionate and understanding about my financial needs......and last but not least was my Doctor...Dr. Kaul he listened to me, was so kind and really presented me with dental options and education on what I really needed for my dental care....I left that office at 3077 W. Shaw in Fresno so happy with Dr. Kaul and his very efficient staff. Thank you...

Came in with a bad toothache back in earlier April for a toothache as I needed a root canal and my wisdom teeth extracted. Staff told me I'd had to wait for authorization through my insurance first for those and in time between waiting had me get a deep cleaning a d regular cleaning then I had ask about my extractions and what not I was informed that they still haven't so I'd be getting my fillings done. I had asked again and was told I needed another cleaning as it still wasn't approve in late may. I had called another dentist office for a second opinion explained my story about waiting for authorizations and they had instructed me to call med-ical to begin the process of reversing the authorization request for the root canal and extraction so that they could bill them. So I decided to call western dental and ask if it was approved they didn't bother to tell me about the root canal and said we can get your wisdom teeth pulled late June which I'm in so much pain already and couldn't wait that long. So I called medi-cal about my benefits and getting the reversal done so I can go to a new office and was informed that western dental had only put in a authorization request for the deep cleaning and that my extractions and root canals are a covered service so it erks me that the staff lied about that letting be in pain for long delaying the procedures I needed to be done to keep billing my insurance with all these additional services before tackling the primary reason I came.
