I love this Pawn America store. I have made several purchases in jewelry and they have some wonderful/beautiful items. I have worked with Teresa, Trevor, and manager, Rosie. They give phenomenal service and are very patient and passionate about their work. Teresa's been a great help. I was definitely impressed that she remembered me because I hadn't been in the store for several years. I found that amazing. I really like her and Trevor, so lately I've tried to make purchases from both of them. I've been frequenting the store because of jewelry repairs and some purchases. Teresa remembered that I would change my jewelry fairly often, which was quite true. Trevor knows me now because of some very large purchases from him.
The jewelers that they send the repairs to are fantastic at their job, also. I sent several pieces of jewelry in for appraisals and repairs. I didn't know they started doing appraisals, because it had been several years since I was there. The prices for the appraisals are very reasonable. As for repairs etc., I love it!
If you are looking for unique pieces of all price ranges, I would definitely recommend you looking there. You don't have to be knowledgeable about diamonds and gems because Teresa or Trevor will assist you with integrity/honesty. I know that you can find all sorts of jewelry there and you'll get a great deal. The prices at regular jewelry stores are going to be twice as much, or more. Thank you for your wonderful customer service, Teresa!
P.S. Some of my jewelry pieces were appraised two to four times what I paid for them. And a shout out to Jackie and Adam(? Alan?) In the purchasing/loans side. They are always busy and will do what they can for what you need, be it selling or requesting a loan.
Thank you to the employees at the Fridley...

My dl expired and I'm in a neck brace so my son was going to do the pawn. Lady wouldn't do it bec it was my jewelry. I was standing right next to him. I mean technically she doesn't really know who's jewelry it is. But my son of all people who will get it someday anyway. I've been a customer over in St. Paul a few times with no problems. Seems like everyone at her window walked out with their belongings in their hands. They're way over priced what they're selling stuff for. A game cube for over 150 with no cords or controllers and it can be bought refurbished online with the cords and controllers for 1/2 that. I'll stick with St. Paul, who by the way I gave a good review. I hardly give bad ones I think this is my 2nd so it takes a lot for me to write this. Newsflash Fridley, you get stolen stuff in there you buy or do a loan on all the time. It was my son and the jewelry was mine.
Almost forgot that on a scrap piece of gold she was adamant it was real and there was no mark on it went home and found it, 14k stamped right on it. A piece they knew was real over in St. Paul and let me pawn it and I told her that and instead of looking again she insisted...

I recently tried pawning some stuff, I no longer needed. A 25+ year old sword. They wouldn't take it because it didn't have any makers mark... I sold it on Marketplace in a couple on hours for well over $100. The buyer was very happy they bought it. A multi tool, that retails for over $40. I would have let it go for $10... I recieved $25 on Marketplace. A JBL Bluetooth speaker. They tried saying the speaker was blown... they tested it with a 40+ year old song with bad audio. The buyer from Marketplace agreed the speaker was not blown, and happily bought it for $50. -A 4× magnification rifle scope. They said they didn't take "that brand", it was an easy $40 in my pocket from Marketplace.
I watched them turn down buying a very nice skate board from an individual... the guy tried to sell it to the store, he ended up selling it in the parking lot.
The store has an issue with making money apparently.
If getting rid of items, sell on Marketplace, you'll get a far...
