The owner posted a video to his socials around about a midnight release of Prismatic Evolutions. When a buddy and I arrive around 10:45pm to get in line, there were people in the front of the line telling us if we didn’t have a ticket that we wouldn’t get any Pokémon’s. This was of course when hype was ATH and people were fighting over this new drop so we didn’t want to believe them.
The owners gave out ~60 tickets to the first 60* people who lined up at 5pm that day. Those 60 then were told to just return at midnight. So it was less a midnight release, but a “show up at 5pm to get a ticket to come back at midnight” release. It would’ve been sooo easy for the owner to post a follow up video thanking his followers for their support, but if they didn’t get a ticket that they would not be able to buy any product that night. NOPE! Too easy? Too considerate? Too sensible? Too caring for your customers? Not sure why this guy failed so miserably but he dropped the ball with his followers BIG TIME!
So when you post no updates about your midnight release, you got people driving sometimes multiple hours to get a chance to get that sweet Pokémon’s. But this guy made a huge ass of himself. He and his minions were just inside yucking it up when a line of 100+ ppl are lining up around midnight. He doesn’t Pop his head outside until midnight to finally say “sorry guys if you don’t have a ticket, you won’t be able to buy anything”
Like…wtf dude….you knew about this fact around 6pm that evening and had SIX HOURS to make a post. Instead you screwed people over and broke trust. Breaking trust with customers is damn hard to regain, and by the looks of it the owner has no intention to make it up to the people. He didn’t make a follow up post until 1:30am that night saying they were sold out… too late pally boy
I deem this “Lord” Rush form hereforth to now be known as...
Read moreI can't say enough good things about this store. I'm new to the Pokémon collecting hobby but decided to try this location out in January of 2025 after a pretty bad experience at another LCS. Let me preface by saying I didnt know anything about the hobby & walked into see if they had any vintage cards from my childhood & they did. The employees are the best part about this place, everyone I've talked to was incredibly kind, helpful & treated me fairly despite several questions. They sold me the vintage cards & recommended some new sets I might be interested in. Fast forward 8 months & I still visit this shop. I've built a relationship with all of the employees, they know me by name, they know what set I like, they know what cards I'm looking for, they even buy some of my duplicates at a fair price. They make me feel like one of the boys & thats something you don't find many places. Yes, the hobby is expensive, yes you can buy the product cheaper if you can find it, thats a big IF. This shop always has everything, sealed product, singles, graded cards, protective products, everything. The best part, I don't have to fight anybody to get it. They have a great loyalty program that earns rewards & keeps in contact with the customers. Most of all, I value the relationships I built with the team. I look forward to going in & talking to the guys, having a couple of laughs & walking out with the Pokémon cards I wanted. Great owner, great team, great product, you won't be disappointed brining them...
Read moreI have been in Frisco for close to 25 years and one thing is for sure: If you’re a Pokémon fan—whether you’re a lifelong collector or a parent introducing the next generation to the joy of the hobby—Lord Rush Collectibles is the place to be! My 4-year-old son is absolutely obsessed with Pokémon (just like I was at his age), and Lord Rush has quickly become his favorite spot. Every time we walk in, he’s greeted with friendly smiles and an excitement that matches his own enthusiasm.
The sense of community here is incredible. You can tell they have a loyal, close-knit customer base, and yet they treat every visitor like a regular. Ryan, the owner, and his team are beyond welcoming, always ready to help with whatever Pokémon needs you have—whether it’s tracking down a specific card, offering advice on deck building, or just sharing in the excitement of the latest release.
Lord Rush Collectibles isn’t just a store; it’s an experience. Watching my son’s eyes light up when we walk through the doors is priceless, and I’m grateful for the incredible atmosphere Ryan and his staff have built. If you or your little ones love Pokémon, you need to check this place out....
