This mall is DYING!!! First of all, they’ve taken out all of the best stores and replace them with mediocre crap! Instead of that useless World Of Barbie store (which thank god is dead), you could of done better with a Jurassic Park/World type of store. And you would of gained far more customers! Especially now, you can still do a store like that and be successful! And even the stores I “used” to like started to turn sour by getting uptight over customers criticizing them for their questionable business practices (looking at you Jayden’s Toys)!
The type of stores they currently have are way too repetitious, to the point that on the Dillards side of the mall, they literally have 3 shoe stores in a row! How many clothing stores & shoe stores do you people really need?! Where’s all the toy stores or classic video game stores like the one in the Golden Triangle Mall or video stores like FYE or Movie Trading Company or decent arcades like Free Play or restaurants that are inside the mall?! The Grapevine Mall has a far better food court at this point, and they actually have more variety of stores!
The absolute worst part is that not only is this mall completely unsafe due to the high amount of fights and security alerts that has happened since last year to where it’s now a pattern, but now you’ve got mall security being utter morons by enforcing such dumb and severely outdated policies such as “no recording videos”. Not only is this complete bs, but it’s extremely hypocritical! They won’t allow you to record video but you can take photos?! What makes that any different?! Also, you can’t be uptight and strict about people recording videos in the mall if you’re going to be doing the exact same thing with your security cameras! If you don’t want us recording you, then you can’t be recording us either! It’s a two way street! Whenever I see hypocrisy and double standards being enforced in any business, you bet your arse that I have a problem with it because it’s completely dishonest!
And quite frankly, I’m getting so sick & tired of this mall doing everything possible to alienate the customers and kill off any potential for growth by insulting the customers, limiting the type of places that makes it worth shopping here, and enforcing policies that are hypocritical by design where they’re demonizing people for doing completely normal things when they’re basically doing the exact same thing through the security cameras that would make customers feel uncomfortable! Recording is recording, and if it’s wrong for us to do it, then it’s wrong for ALL companies in the mall to be doing it too! Otherwise, it’s a double standard! No if’s, and’s, or buts!
A food court and the AMC theaters is not enough to save a dying mall that has very little to offer that makes it unique and the policies are beyond unreasonable to where it won’t silence the valid criticisms that this mall has gotten and will continue to keep getting by angry customers! Policies are never iron clad and/or sacred! They’re completely arbitrary and at times highly unnecessary! It took George Carlin to completely destroy the 10 Commandments in less than 7 minutes! I’m convinced that it could take a customer even less time to completely dismantle your outdated & broken policies!
Bottom line is, your mall is dying! Your policies and repetitive stores are killing the mall! You have no creative vision, no incentive to introduce things that are exciting or unique, absolutely no excuses to continue doing what you’ve been doing when it’s risking the reputation and the overall quality of your establishment to the point where customers are not wanting to come back! The #1 most important thing keeping all businesses alive are your customers! What incentive would any customer have in wanting to come back if THIS is how your mall decides to...
Read moreStonebriar Centre (Mall) is Beautiful and Fun Today & Every Day! And it's a good place for an impromptu date night! Now especially with the Heat Wave, it's been a Godsend! I needed a Date with my Husband and a little Retail Therapy too. Lol! 1st was dinner. And there are lots of very good choices in the food court as well as outlying. We enjoyed lamb and beef salad and baklava at Bosphorus. All date nights should have desert, right! BTW, good service in that my questions were answered. Now this place is small compared to the other food court places, but they offer yummy food choices at competitive prices. Movies can be really good at AMC there, but we needed to walk around since we haven't walked as much due to weeks of heat indexed days. And like I said, some retail therapy was calling my name. So we walked, window shopped and had fun people watching. As I'm sure we were watched as well by everyone there. From families to others on dates, to some serious shoppers, the place was comfortably full and enjoyable. Dillard's has some great suitcases and as always a well stocked kitchen goods area. And this darling shop called Faithfully Fly, just outside of Dillard's has some great T-shirts! Now I managed a T-shirt shop back in the day in New Orleans and I know fast selling junk and I know excellent quality... Faithfully Fly has Excellent Quality Merch! And the owner is a tall drink of water that cares about his community more than the bottom line. He and my husband had a good time chatting. I walked out with a beautiful T-shirt with both Design and Meaning. So as impromptu dates go and on a weeknight too... It was a success! More walking around, more shopping, holding hand, stopping to hug and quickly smooch - after all, we have only been married for a year & a 1/2... still in the honeymoon zone! Ok, so you get the picture... This is a Fun Place For Date Night! So Come On Y'all, The Mall Is Open! And it's a fantastic place to walk and do some retail...
Read more!!! IF YOU ARE A PERSON OF COLOR PLEASE READ!! This has not happened once to me but TWICE where I have been RACIALLY PROFILED and accused of stealing. With my two experiences it happened at COTTON ON and DILLARDS! At COTTON ON I had 4 Employees surround me as I was checking out. The person that was checking me out immediately called for an employee to check the dressing room. After, she continuously asked me why I didn’t want certain items that she knew I took into the dressing room. The was an employee standing to my left, right, and behind me watching as the employee continued asking me unnecessary questions. I began to get visibly upset because this isn’t the first happened to me at COTTON ON and I am aware of what they are doing. Of course the person that was instructed to check to dressing room came back and let her know that the amount of items I left in there was correct then the girls surrounding me left. There were multiple other customers coming in and out of the store during this time and I was the only black one in the store.
A similar situation happened to my sister who is also a black woman and they CALLED SECURITY ON HER while she was in the dressing room!! When she walked out the employee claimed that my sister had stolen items and that it was caught on camera. My sister denied that she stole anything but the employee insisted. My sister then showed her bag to the employee and the security guard and of course there were no stolen clothes!! My sister then asked to see the video footage that the employee claimed showed my sister stealing. The employee ignored my sister and walked away!!!! My sister continued to ask her for the footage but the employee then refused. We will NEVER go to this COTTON ON AGAIN and...
