Attending Cheer Comp 4/10/22. Very disappointed in the venue preparations for event. Security check point was excessive. Pat downs, metal detectors, open every clear bag you have...etc. All of us parents pay $25 per person to walk in the door, be treated like we are boarding an airplane. They also would not allow any outside drinks. (ok fine, i get they need to make money on concessions). BUT, have concessions available. Talk about frustration after finding the ONE concession stand that is open, waiting in a ridiculous line only to be told they ONLY HAVE FRIED CHICKEN TENDERS for sale. It was 7AM!!! After declining eating fried chicken for breakfast, i ordered a coffee. I asked where the cream was, the lady said "oh, we just have sugar, no creamers". I know it wasn't their fault personally, but the venue really dropped the ball. How can you not have any food besides fried chicken for a venue full of parents who overpaid to get in the first place. Unreal!!!!! Yes, cheer is expensive and we know that going in, but if you are going to take my coffee away from me at security entrance, well you better be prepared to sale...
Read moreI'm sorry but I will have to give this place a 1 star due to the staff. The facility was amazing. We went the state comp for powerlifting and when the award ceremony was going on. They started rushing everyone out. I didn't mind getting rushed out. But what I do mind is how the lifter (ages 13 to 18) were rushed out even without a coach or parent and they were on the street alone. They had a separate entrance than the parents. Their was a family that was looking for their kid and all they told them that they don't know and we had to leave. The guy who was pushing everyone out was trying to tell us were to go and the mom left and couldnt find her also some lady was telling him that he had hurry up to make it seems that we were nobody and to get away from the situation. The gentlemen knew that what they did was wrong and realized that they were under age and he at least stay to help even when they lady was rude. Hope yall look into this becuase the venue was amazing and set up awesome. But with staff needs to do better. Hopefully this can be used for a learning experience and hopefully we can come back next year we a...
Read moreI really hope we do not have any future games at this ice hockey rink after this first one. We did not have an actual ref we had, who I was told is, Tommy the program director and it was a terrible experience. He was not following the same rules the kids have always followed (most of these kids, for the last 3 years) leading to a point where the kids were looking at him in confusion and he yelled at them that they needed to listen to him which went as far as him following the kids to the bench yelling at them during a line change. As my son said "The guy was TERRIBLE and I hope he never refs again." The locker rooms were too small for 2 teams to be sharing so some of the kids had to get ready at the bleachers. Otherwise the facility was easy to find, clean, and parking was a breeze but I still hope to never be back here.
6 month later update and we were back for championship games and can I just say that absolutely nothing here as improved. This is a sad excuse for a youth hockey organization. I'd be disgusted to know it was my kids, fellow parents, and coach that acted like this....
